starryfish- I'm glad that she didn't cry for too long for you. Did turning the sound on the monitor off help?
cherryvalance- I would defiantly see a LC and see if that helps.
swiftlyirun- when I was working I cut back my dose of my anti-nausea meds because it made me too tired. I was slowly able to increase them and not feel so tired.
oneslybookworm- I would love to hear more of the story but of course take your time, the first few months are hard.
DD and I spent the last week and a half camping. We had a great trip. DH had to work but he joined us for the long weekend. (Monday this week was a holiday here)
DD loved it, she played in the dirt, went swimming, played with the dogs, and loved hanging out in her high chair taking everything in. She didn't like sleeping though, all our sleep training seemed to go out the window. So since we've been home we have been back at that and it's been harder this time.
In the last 24 hrs DD has become a lot more mobile. She is now army crawling and she is able to push her bum up into the air so that she is on her hands and feet. 😳
awick14, I always found DS had a big sleep disruption whenever he was working on some major developmental skill. If she is getting more mobile, that might explain it, so don't panic! Maybe a bit of time back in your usual routine and some practice crawling and she will be back to snoozing.
It may also be her teething. (I don't know why I'd didn't think of that) DD has had a fever off and on for the past few days. When she bites down on an empty water bottle you can see her two bottom teeth are almost through. Other then a low grade fever she's acting fine.
Today the Tylenol isn't helping with her fever though, so I think I need to call the nurses line.
Lol awick14, I love that I posted a huge camping recap culminating in "OMG 2 days was exhausting!" and you spent a whole week and a half camping like it was NBD. I want some of your energy!

Did you try Motrin? S has been having those low grade teething fevers this week too!

I just gave her some now so we will see how it goes. (I had to go out and buy some)
loira- it defiantly was exhausting, and I guess I should add I wasn't along when DH wasn't there. My mom, sister and my niece were there the whole time with me. I actually had a lot of alone time because they are amazing and held her and played with her while I went swimming, kayaking, read books, etc. (I finished 3 books!!)
I wonder if he has a hidden tongue or lip tie that's preventing transfer... especially since you say he's flattening your nipple. some posterior tongue ties are REALLY hard to see.
I wonder. She seemed pretty confident he didn't, but I'm interested in what an actual lactation consultant says. Although, in the hospital they thought he was doing great and they're known to have awesome lac consultants, so who knows.
He did gain 8 ounces since Monday, though! So at least I feel like we have the opportunity to work on it, rather than jump to formula because he's starving.
ETA: Come to think of it, at the hospital they were saying my nipple were great for BFing and the pedi said they might be too big for him to get a good grasp on the areola.
