Hi! For those of you not on MM, I am Rikki and I live in Waltham. Rock-n-Voll directed me over here and I am excited to get to know you.
I love the baby shower gifts. They're gorgeous. You're so talented.
I am thrilled to not have a lot of real plans. Tomorrow we are going to try to find some new summer clothes and some art for our bedroom. Sunday we are meeting the foreign exchange student from Japan that we are going to be showing around Boston for the summer.
Its going to be a fairly quiet weekend for me again. Tomorrow we're going to my BFF's daughters 1st birthday. And Sunday we don't have anything going on. Just going to enjoy the nice weather, I guess!

Welcome, rikki! And Rock, those gifts are seriously adorable. I wouldn't feel badly about going off-registry at all - you clearly put a lot of time and effort into them.
I'm not sure what's up for the weekend. Apparently, my ILs are expecting us at some point, so my husband is trying to sort that out. They kind of screwed us over last weekend (said on Saturday that they were too tired to do anything on Mothers day because they'd just come back from vacation, then ended up visiting my husband's grandmother - who lives one town over from us- on Sunday and didn't tell us), so I'm not really feeling charitable at this point. But I know we're going to end up driving up there (they're in NH) and going to lunch at some shitty sandwich place. Sigh.
Other than that, I think we may try to go to the movies and lay low. Friends of mine are throwing a benefit for their Relay for Life team out in Springfield on Sunday night, but I'm not sure if I want to drive out there and then turn around and drive home when I have to work the next day.
Sunday we are meeting the foreign exchange student from Japan that we are going to be showing around Boston for the summer.
Oh very cool. I assume the student won't be staying with you? You guys are so going to end up moving to Japan one day!
And, everyone, Rikki's awesome and will be a fun addition to the board.
Thanks.
No, she will be staying at the Showa Institute in Brookline, but we will spend a lot of time with her in the evenings and weekends. It should be a lot of fun!
We are going on a whale watch trip tomorrow and Sunday is a Touch a Truck fundraiser. Hoping to talk DH into walking to Fanueil Hall or the North End after whale watching.
We have no plans this weekend. None. Which is a big deal for us, because the next few months are jam-packed every.single.weekend. I'm hoping for some sleep.
DH wants to get some of our raised bed gardens put in, and I'm putting flowers in our mailbox planter this afternoon. Woo hoo!
