Your birth experience is pretty darn similar to mine, minus the hemorrhage. 27 hours of labor, tons of low back pain despite the epidural, never fully dilated, ended in a c-section. I didn't even try for a VBAC the second time. My second labor/birth experience was kind of fucked up as well, but the c-section part was fine.
Like eclaires , having babies the standard way is just not something I do apparently.
Anyway, I'm sorry it was such a mess and am glad that you didn't end up needing a hysterectomy. Take advantage of your hospital time and try to relax. Definitely send that little one off to the nursery so you can get some rest. You'll be up and moving around comfortably before you know it!
eta: I just saw the picture. Cheeks! She is so cute!

Babyharpy is so adorable!! I love her fluffy cheeks. So sorry to hear the details of your difficult birth, and so glad it sounds like you and baby are both on the right track now. Enjoy her!
Just an FYI as a fellow c-section mom-they plump you up with fluids (which goes to the baby as well)-don't be alarmed if she drops quite a bit if her birth weight as the fluid works its way out. I know I was upset until the nurses explained this to me.
I'm so sorry you had a rough birth. Please let yourself heal and use all the help they give you. Once you can get up and move around-do it. Again-congratulations!
