idahome , did you see the story about the pit bull and the pig who are best friends and broke out of their house together? They apparently went gallivanting all over the neighborhood, until the police picked them up and brought them home. Hopefully, your pup ordeal wasn't too stressful!
So far, good, I think? She took her first shower in a communal bathroom and survived! Plus I gave her the hulu and Netflix password, so she's got that comfort lol! I'm letting her initiate conversation so I don't know a ton, so far.
I did try to make it easier on myself--I bought four 6" cake pans and made 3 normal-sized batches of cake batter, divided each batch up among the four 6" pans, and stacked the layers only 2 high. So, 6 cakes from 3 batches. But still. SIL bought rosettes and crap like that to decorate the cakes, but I frosted them, wrote happy birthday/congrats, and called it good. I was not going to get all fancy with that many to do. I did carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, chocolate cake with PB frosting, and amaretto cake with peach filling/frosting. All turned out well, at least!

These sound delicious.
This also reminds me that our wedding cake baker is dropping off tasting samples tomorrow afternoon. Carrot cake, apple spice, gingerbread, and whatever else she comes up with. I am counting on this being the highlight of my week.
Hey, totally random, but is anyone really awesome at Photoshop? I have a small project that I need help with but I don't know how to do it solo. I'd love you forever if you could help!
Someone made an appointment to come see/test ride Larry They had wanted to make it this coming weekend, but he and I will be 1 state away at a horse show, so it's the following weekend.
Thanks. At least this prospective buyer is within an hour drive. That makes me feel a whole lot better than the thought of someone taking him states away.
My biggest fear is that he'd someday wind up dumped at an auction (horse auctions are terrible places to be - most horses ship to Canada or Mexico for slaughter), and I want his buyers to know that they can call me if they ever find themselves unable to care for him, you know? But how the hell do I get that point across without saying "hey, if you cannot pay your bills or if you break this horse beyond repair, just call me, k?"
chalupa, I feel like you can say that to someone? This horse means the world to me. If for some reason, you are unable to care for him based on any extenuating future circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will take care of him.

Can you just say that if they are ever looking to part ways with him, you'd like the right of first refusal as you'd be interested in purchasing him back?
I would word it the way that bullygirl979 suggested chalupa. Anything else just opens the door to them trying to take advantage of you should they be hit with big medical bills.
bullygirl979: I love that story. Luckily my pets didn't go that far afield, but I certainly hope they would've made a special friend to journey around the neighborhood if given the option!
bullygirl979 and doglove, yes, I'll say something like that to them for sure.
Total cart before the horse here (ha! get it?) since they haven't seen him or made an offer, but it turns out my barn owner/trainer knows this potential buyer's trainer (they grew up together),and that makes me feel even better. He'd be with his same vet, same farrier, etc.

Had a nerf battle with DS1 for his birthday. He was really happy.
I nailed down my character for the D&D game my friends are starting. I still need to flesh it out and figure out all of my abilities/strengths but it's a start. The only female in the group. Should be fun.
