Thanks guys, I'm assuming they haven't said anything to the kids or matilda would be coming home in tears about being the only one without it... I hope that doesn't happen today
@lindy, maybe ask the teacher if she can make sure she goes to the bathroom before they leave class for PE or lunch?
Is she wearing a new type of pants? I remember peeing my pants in K because I couldn't figure out the clasp on my pants. It happened a few times before I admitted that I couldn't get my pants off.
She wears leggings or bike shorts so they're easy on/off so I don't think it's that.
Her teacher was back today so I talked to her. I guess they expect them to go during recess, which would explain why she's not going, she doesn't want to miss that! Her teacher is going to remind her to go before recess starts so hopefully that helps. They have recess 3 times a day so that should be enough, hopefully...
G got her first progress report and her teacher wrote she's doing awesome and is at or above grade level in all areas! I'm so proud of her. I have a pretty strong feeling things won't go this smoothly when C starts K. Lol.
Great job G! Isn't it funny how different they are? I think will be opposite of B!

School is no joke We had curriculum night last night and it blew my mind These kids are doing work I wasn't doing until 3nd grade She said they all would be reading by winter break! K came home the other day and sung the entire pledge of allegiance and wrote the entire alphabet in upper and lower case Blew my mind! It's been a week and a half! He already knew his address phone number and state but now knows he lives in the United States all the seasons and days of the wel and months of the year Already Mind blown! His teacher is amazing and actually cried at curriculum night! She also looks like Elsa !
We are struggling with recess and friends and being overly excited and too much dancing and hand raising but we will get there His special needs teachers and all our private therapists think he is doing well We are slowly trying to encorporate play dates I. After school but it's hard with all his therapies - they dint end til close to 6 every day All in we are doing well He prefers drawing over playing and reading over playing and girls over boys and adults over girls but we are plugging along
A has had 4 full weeks of school, besides the dumb stagger weeks. She was sick 2 days the first week, but since then has been doing well. I'm worried she may be a bit bored sometimes, but she's definitely improving her handwriting, which is awesome. She got her first Aimsweb results and blew them out of the water, so I've emailed to try and get some extension work. It's not that she's super amazing or anything, but she reads well, and all the focus is on reading skills through winter. We need new sight words and stuff. I don't want her to start to dislike things or be bored. Morning suck here. I have to wake her up at 5:30, which is terrible. She told me she doesn't like our usual waffles for breakfast, and she's already tired of sandwiches for lunch. So, that's always fun. We also started Girl Scouts, but it's Tuesday's, which is the worst possible day, but I may survive. I hate the fall semester because DH has band stuff and all of this extra kinder stuff is killing me this year.
The first couple weeks Leo fell apart every night. Since he is the youngest I was prepared for this. He basically didn't eat at home for like 2 weeks. He is also going to bed much earlier, which is nice. But we are back to being stuck in a night schedule and can't go out and about like we used too when he was still getting a nap. Yes he took a nap until the bitter end.
Leo loves school. Since his brother is there and he is used to the building the adjustment hasn't been too bad. He gets 3 recesses and 3 PE classes a week so he is getting tons of time to get his energy out. Plus our school is really good about keeping K age appropriate. So for now any concerns about him being one of the youngest in the class is gone. He is handling everything.
And I am quite enjoying the extra $800 a month we are banking post after school costs. :-)

Ari is having an issue with our neighbor.. help?!
Our neighbor is in Ari's class, which we were happy about at first. Except now all they do is fight. They never really hung out alone for an extended period of time before school but since starting the year they bicker non-stop. AND they actually fought on the playground during the family picnic.
Ari says the boy teases him, the boy says that Ari pushes him. His teacher is trying to work on hands to ourselves and no tattling.
I told Ari that he doesn't have to be friends with him but he can't be mean. Kindness is a big thing in our house.
