I can't keep track, is Too Faced still okay? If so, I just saw a couple of good reviews for their new peach powder.
I know there was some controversy with the founder a while back. I want to say that he was withholding PR from beauty gurus that didn't give his stuff glowing reviews. That seems to have been smoothed over though.

The founder Jared something sold the brand to Estée Lauder for a metric fuckton and after that was when the quality of their stuff started to really dip. I've heard good things about the upcoming holiday palette, though, so hopefully they've made some manufacturing changes.
I also heard that TF was sending better quality palettes to beauty gurus so they would give glowing reviews of the products but then sell the shittier stuff to all of us. Also apparently the deal he made with Nikki Tutorials when they did their collaboration was very unfair to her - she only got about $50,000 for it, and didn't get paid for at least 6 months. I avoid buying it personally because I don't need any more shit quality eye shadows.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

Just for the record, it actually takes at least a year after sale before a company is integrated enough to influence the product formulations. The founders are all still super involved, even after sale, and all existing personnel are retained (so like, they don't just start having existing EL employees start making their stuff the day after they've been sold). If the quality started to dip, it's not because EL stepped in and fucked with stuff. They are actually pretty strong on NOT fucking with formulations for the first year or so.
Thanks, caps! I wasn't sure if it was the involvement of EL, or if it was just that Jared made so much money he didn't give a fuck anymore, or if something else was happening to influence their formulas somehow. I appreciate the input on this!

I remember there being quality issues with the first release of the Peach palette. I wonder if it wasn't meant to be released in such a limited way since it came back, what, a year or so later as a regular release and supposedly much better. (I still can't tell since half those shadows don't really show up on me.)
