I've always been prone to having a few milia on my face but recently my skin decided to freak out and they're everywhere. I haven't really changed anything in my skincare routine - occasionally a new sheet mask but it doesn't seem tied to that. Biggest suspect is my facial oil. Is there anything topically I can do to clear them up? Or if you're prone to them too, what products do you use to keep them at bay?

BHA9 from Paulas Choice helped mine. It wasn't perfect, I still have some, but like a 90% reduction. Sometimes I did have to lance them/use a blackhead tool/use a hydrocolloid dressing. Watch Dr Pimple Popper deal with them.

How long until you saw improvement? Do you use morning or night and how do you layer it with other products? Right now I switch between a retinoid and a lactic acid at night.
I almost never get them now that I use CosRx AHA daily. It helps with the cell turnover which seems to be preventing them for me.
Same questions that I posted above - and can I use the AHA and BHA in tandem?
Yes, but you need to wait 20 minutes between applications. Most people alternate every other day. I spot treat daily, applying both at the same time to different areas.

Additionally, I use them both at night. It took about a month to notice a real difference. They first few weeks my skin purged from the BHA. When the purging seemed to be slowing, I added in the AHA and started seeing the texture difference. The BHA kept the gunk from sticking in my (super large) pores and the AHA cleaned everything out.

I didn't layer it, but I think you can with a retinoid. Most improvement was really fast, then the stubborn ones took a few weeks.
