1. What thing do you do or habit do you have that you either teach your kids not to do or tell them they can't do? (Ya follow me...?)
2. Favorite band/singer in 6th grade? Favorite band/singer now?
3. If there is one thing you could do that you would immediately be proficient in and came very easily to you, what would it be? E.g., a skill, play an instrument, an activity or hobby, etc.
1. Biting nails. Well, more like biting/picking at cuticles. I've passed that on to both kids, and will be actively picking while telling them not to.
2. 6th grade - New Kids on the Block. Hands down. Now? Depends on the day. I've recently rekindled my love affair with Pink Floyd. Keeps me calm and sane. I listened to The Final Cut while grocery shopping the other day. Blew DH's mind.
3. Crafting. I am such a mess when it comes to crafting, and I would love to be good. I can't color, stamp, paint, or make anything. I wish I was crafty...

2. Favorite band/singer in 6th grade? Favorite band/singer now? Ace of Base in 6th grade and Adele, U2 or Florence and the Machine now
3. If there is one thing you could do that you would immediately be proficient in and came very easily to you, what would it be? E.g., a skill, play an instrument, an activity or hobby, etc. Home organization and running

1. Not eating vegetables. Luckily he loves a lot of vegetables and will eat them off his plate first.
2. The Judds in 6th grade. Now, Don Williams or Ronnie Milsap.
3. I wish I was artistic or crafty. I have no interest in doing either but I sometimes wish I had a hobby like that. Paint and Sips are also popular right now and I feel like I miss out on going out with people because I have no interest in painting something. In years past it was going to a pottery place and painting. I went to a couple pottery places, but mine always turned out crappy and I felt like I wasted a bunch of money.

kimberlybb, I heard I Saw The Sign on my way into work today and it took me back to a 6th grade slumber party where we listened to that song over and over...lol.

1. DS has picked up my picking at his toenails from me. I catch myself doing it when I'm just watching tv. I also don't let him snack too much before dinner but you will definitely find me sneaking some chips or something. 2. NSYNC was in their Dirty Pop days and those were some good times. Garth Brooks is probably my favorite, but only his old stuff. Also, I want to be Carrie Underwood. 3. Sing. See number 2.
1. Curse 2. I can't exactly remember 6th grade - maybe Tiffany or New Kids? I also liked Billy Joel. Now I have an eclectic range of favorites but I would say I always love to hear Tom Petty and R.E.M. 3. Speak Spanish - wish I took my classes more seriously

1. I’d like them to realize that our thoughts create our experience in life. This is something I’m just really delving into and I think it changes how you view the world when you really “get” it. I figured I’d try to instill this when they’re young. Procrastination is also at the top of the list. I remind them to do things now because you don’t know what will come up and you’ll feel better when it’s done.
2. 6th grade - Michael Jackson; now - Blake Shelton
3. Talking to other people. I have a bit of social anxiety and talking to people I don’t know can be anxiety inducing.
1. Pastries, cookies, cakes = breakfast. I make DD eat oatmeal, cereal, healthy muffins, or cook hot breakfast on the weekend. FFFC I still really enjoy cookies for breakfast but have switched to eating granola and yogurt.
2. 6th grade Backstreet boys or Nsync??? Now I like the mix radio station but have no idea who sings what
3. Language...I wish my speech was better so that I could learn it easily. I can't pronounce the letter R well so foreign language and me don't mix.

1. I tend to worry, and while I think so degree of worrying is good, I feel like I worry too much about a lot.
2. I would say 6th grade was still NKOTB, but not for much longer. Since NKOTB reunited in 2008, they are probably my favorite again. To say they have aged well is a bit of an understatement, IMO.
3. To be socially adept and comfortable talking with people I don't know. I tend to have some social anxiety and overthink social situations. (Such as, DH has a work dinner for employees celebrating milestone work anniversaries, and I think I've thought about what to wear and what to talk about for a few hours already, and it's still weeks away.)

ummmm....cussing?
2. Favorite band/singer in 6th grade? Favorite band/singer now?
the Beatles. now...I dunno. Panic! At the Disco is something I like. I listen to show tunes a lot.
3. If there is one thing you could do that you would immediately be proficient in and came very easily to you, what would it be? E.g., a skill, play an instrument, an activity or hobby, etc.
Speak another language or play the piano. I've studied both things and am not good at either one.
1. Cracking knuckles. I know that "they" say it isn't really bad for your joints but it bothers me when I see my kids to it because I know they picked it up from me.
2. 6th grade = Boys II Men Now = Probably JT but that's mostly because of my undying love for NSYNC
1. I hide when I eat snacks, so I don't have to share them with the kids, so I guess eating bad food. 2. Live/ Train 3. Crafty, also not feeling like the other shoe is going to drop all the time. Although maybe that is par for the course of my life? Womp Womp.
1. Probably cursing 2. Then: The Beatles. Now: I don't even know. I used to be such a music nerd too. 3. A foreign language. I know a little of a few languages, but I want to be fluent.

1. I'm not good at putting things away when I'm finished with them. And I think DS has inherited this from me. I'm working hard at de-cluttering the house and getting better at being organized in general. It's an uphill battle for both of us.
2. Then: Olivia Newton-John. Now: currently re-visiting solo Annie Lennox.
3. I'd love to be better at learning new names and faces. Normally it takes me 3-5 times meeting a person to remember them.
