Becca Backlight vs First Light primer

I have a sample of Becca First Light (the purple one) and I understand the hype now. My skin looks glowy and it hasn't broken me out, which is a common problem I encounter with primers. But - would I enjoy Backlight more? I'm pale with slight pink undertones and I admit I don't totally get what, if anything, the purple hue does for me. I know Backlight is the more popular of the two. What should I get a full size of?

I'd go apply a full face of Backlight at Sephora and see how it wears for the day. Nothing is as revealing as looking at my reflection during the day in my car's visor mirror (which is why I always have tweezers in the car!). And since it's a pricey product, it's worth the trial, imho.

I've got a full size of the Backlight and had a sample of the First Light primer. I preferred the Backlight primer. I couldn't really see much of a difference on my skin with the First Light primer, but I love the glowy look I get with the Backlight. I was worried about using these primers because I can be a bit oily during the summers, but both primers held up well in the Alabama heat this summer.

I love the Backlight and was just kind of meh on the First Light. There's definitely more of a glow from the Backlight and I felt like it wore better on my oily skin than the First Light.

I bought a small tube of the Backlight with my Ulta coupon. If I like it I'll get the full size when the next coupon comes around.
