My weekend plans include buying a new dishwasher. The heating element is broken for the 3rd time since July. Before that though, I have a mom-date tonight to go see an author speak. We are going to dinner first. I'm half worried about how DH will do tonight with both kids at bedtime but also not since I deal with it by myself at least 3 nights a week. DD is my main worry since she's never let him put her to bed. We've only tried twice though and she's difficult to put to bed on a good night anyways.
Tomorrow we are finally putting my birthday gift together, hopefully. It's a shelf for our laundry/mudroom to hold 3 laundry baskets and also have room to hold a rod to hold DH's work shirts. We also have a birthday party during the day and a halloween party that night.
My mom wants to get together on Sunday so she can see the kids since she acts like it brings physical pain to go more than a week without seeing them. I'm going to have her come to my house so I can get a handle on the tornado that went through it and fold laundry. I'd like to do some meal prepping but I also hate the idea of dirtying dishes until a new dishwasher is installed.
So today, DD had to have a pair of the full pajamas for pajamas day. All the girls were going to wear them and she would be the ONLY one left out. I got her a pair, with her money (not buying that crazy nonsense for pajamas day). She happily went to school in dinosaur pajamas with a hood and tail.
Tonight we have a bday party. Tomorrow is our fall festival. I have to work the chili serving line. Yay. I hope to walk over to a neighbor's after for a Halloween party for families.
Sunday, I want to go to an open house at a historic sight with cabins and period reenactment. It will just be Dd and me, Dh and DS will be hunting.
Random. I just invited about 20 women to my house next Friday for wine tasting and appetizers. I hate entertaining because I get all freaked out about a clean house and will everything go well, will it be boring, but I get invited places, so I need to reciprocate every once in a while. Right? I'll try to hold it together this week.

We have a trick or treating event at DH’s work this afternoon. This evening I’m hoping to meal prep but in all likelihood I will probably just lounge on the couch. Tomorrow morning I’m hoping to get a run in and then take the kids to a movie. I’d like to take DD to a new kid friendly coffee house after nap for some one-on-one time. Sunday is church, a birthday party, and a trunk or treat event at church.
rere , I would love to go to a friend's house for wine and apps. I'm sure it will go great! Just make sure you have enough booze

Booze is the one thing I will definitely have. No worries there.
Tonight is, after a play date, family pumpkin carving and pizza and salad and I’m super excited.
Tomorrow is soccer with big wind and temps in the high 30s at 7:30 am, then two total birthday parties and an afternoon game. Then I have the bachelorette - I have to leave DH with DS’ Soccer snack because it starts at 5:30 (god awful early) and I have to get my bag into the room at this giant resort which will take forever.
Sunday I am hoping for brunch then errands and a chill afternoon with the kids. Girls have handbells and youth.
This weekend is birthday insanity. Today is a professional development today for the school district and the daycare so the kids are home with DH. I have to be at work because there is a ton of stuff going on at the university. Tomorrow is DS's family birthday party, I bought the food, but will need to cook all of it tomorrow. And then on Sunday is the halloween costume party at church during the service for the kids and then DS's friend party at the local kids' museum. I feel tired already....
Today we're picking up a rental car that we get to use until a TBD date. Apparently DH's car has a crazy recall on it and the dealership is providing a rental until "Spring 2018" when it will be fixed. So I'm excited to see what we end up with!
Tomorrow we have a birthday party in the afternoon and Sunday I've got a coffee date with my best friend. Should be a low key weekend, which is nice.
Right now I'm fighting the urge to head home to sleep. I have a terrible migraine and everyone else on my team is out for the day, so no one would miss me.

Weekend plans include shopping for new tiles for our basement and putting together all the bookcases so that I can finally unpack our boxes of books, plus all the kid activities.
I had my 6 month review with my GC this morning and it went very well. He said the business teams are all very happy with me, so that's good. I guess I passed probation.
Question for the wise ladies on here - DD (2.5) has been going to daycare 2 days a week for the past 2 months. She hates it. As soon as she realizes it's daycare day, she cries and refuses to put her clothes on. She is very shy and timid so I can understand that it's a tough transition for her. There's no reason to think that there's anything wrong with the daycare. Her teachers all seem super nice and friendly. So my question is - how long would you keep making her go? Technically she doesn't have to go as we have a nanny, but we wanted her to so that she gets more socialized. I'm inclined to give it another few months but it's heart-breaking to see her so upset every time. Her teachers say that she's super quiet and reserved - they haven't actually hear her talk yet.
My mom is visiting and DH is out of town for work. It's a girls' weekend!
Tonight DD1 has dance class and then Tomorrow the girls ice skate in the morning. The rest of the weekend is kind of open. DD1 is desperately in need of winter PJs (she has outgrown everything) and the girls need new winter boots so maybe some shopping. The girls want to see the My Little Pony movie so maybe going to see that. It is supposed to be beautiful weather here so hopefully some time outside.
Tomorrow morning is gymnastics. Meeting our new tenants to hand over the keys and clean the floors one last time, and get all our stuff out of there (we have a few tools still there). It's DH's birthday tomorrow and he still hasn't decided what he wants to do, or even what meals he wants etc. Might not be any different than any other day. He already got his present (new tire for one of his mortorcycles, he got a nail in it when we were moving to the new house and it can't be patched. It's an EXPENSIVE tire, so I paid half and my family pitched in for the difference. My BIL brought it over Wednesday since it was the only day that worked for him and he had ordered it. DH was over the moon excited about this gift.
Sunday we have a birthday party in the afternoon for my best friends son. Then the usually cleaning/laundry/grocery shopping. I need to pick up pumpkins and carve them with the kids at some point as well.
I just got off the phone with the insurance company about my bodily injury claim from the accident last December. They offered me $4500 for pain and suffering and I took it. DH was the at fault driver but my state allows this kind of payment. When I talked to my agent he told me to expect anywhere between 500 and 1000. I'm very excited about my free money!!!
Tonight a couple Halloween festivals before open gymnastics. Saturday DD rides at 4:30. Her instructor offered to sell me her horse but there is no way I know how to care for a horse let alone afford 300+ a month for food and boarding let alone all the other stuff a horse needs like TIME! Sunday is a bowling bday party at 1. DH is playing paintball in central Oregon all weekend so a girls weekend full of stuff for DD it is.

rere, good for you on hosting! I hate entertaining for all the same reasons, but I know people are going to love that. It sounds awesome!
Tonight is the Fall Festival at the school so I'm going to have the hightail it home to change and drop off my stuff and then get back to the school. DH is supposed to pick them up, so hopefully he gets off in time to really handle it.
Tomorrow is our standard soccer game and gymnastics followed by a birthday party. Some how I need to find time to pick up my packet for the triathlon I'm participating in on Sunday. Sunday is the triathlon and that's it, so I'm hoping to go to a pumpkin patch with the kids. We should have gone last weekend but just didn't.

Tonight is the fall festival at school. Ds has his end of soccer tournament tomorrow and then we are headed to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, and church. Sunday I’m getting a pedicure for my bday next week and we are resting! I have to get to the grocery store at some point too!!
How much more would you guys pay for pumpkins with the lid cut out, gutted and scraped with seeds washed and ready to roast? I wish this was a service for real. I’d pay $10 a pumpkin, seriously. I hate guts and with DD in a cast this year it means extra guts.

rere, that sounds like so much fun! I would love to do this type of stuff. I actually love hosting parties but I have like 4 groups of friends that I have a hard time imagining socializing together at the same time.

Random/Not a Weekend plan: So far we've been invited to 2 World Series game watching parties (we're in Houston) and DH has declined both of them b/c he gets too nervous watching the game. He wants to be at home. This kind of makes me laugh.
2chatter , I am kind of the doing the least when it comes to certain things, so I don't carve pumpkins. I think I did it once with the kids. Otherwise we go pick them out at the pumpkin farm and put them on the front porch- the end. I guess I am inpatient, or have an H who is not into that kind of stuff/ crafty and with him traveling. So I just cut out certain holiday related things to make it simpler. If the kids ask, we will do it. But I won't suggest it like oh we have to do this. And its normal to them to not do tons of holiday stuff.
It also helps that I only really care for hot weather holidays which are an excuse to get out of the house and go to a BBQ or the beach or for a hike.
I've also cut out Christmas cards for the same reason. I do 99% of holiday stuff except H will cook. A while ago he took over Christmas cards, and then he stopped sending them and I never took it back.
Weekend plans: Gymnastics, maybe a Halloween thing in town (I'm not thrilled- see above reason for doing the least for holidays), date night, Sunday- cub scouts.
mustardseed2007 I was the same way last year. My dog was so confused one minute I was cheering and dancing then the next I'm biting my nails. My sister and dad had no problems and even went to game 2. No problem watching with thousands of strangers for them.
I suck at me day! The universe was against me. I didn't even get to go back to bed and now I pick DD up in 90 minutes. Argh
2chatter, I'd happily do that part of pumpkin carving if I could make $$ at it. I'm kinda dreading the carving part - I think I bit off more than I can chew this year with 3 giant pumpkins. And DS keeps changing what he wants - he's now asking for ninja turtle pumpkins instead of octonauts

Tonight is DS’s school fall festival. Planning to go for a short bit and keep normal bedtime.
Tomorrow he has gym in the morning, and a birthday party in the afternoon. It will be his first drop off party. I have an invitation to another party, but I’m still coughing a lot so more likely I will use the time to take a nap.
Sunday will likely be chores and getting ready for the week.
For 2 months we’ve had plans to go to the American Girl store since the kids were off school. So DD and I went and met two of her friends and their moms. DH took DS to Chuck E Cheese. It was really fun. I’m glad I took the day off to do it. With as much as I’ve been out of town it was a nice opportunity to reconnect with DD.
Saturday: Gym H is taking DS to fencing and I will take DD and DS2 to her soccer game. Target. Possibly lunch at the Tar-jay Cafe. Gotta get thru.... Unload my beloved Amazon Fresh groceries from my porch thank you Jesus. Family photos-that should be fun. SMILE! Out to dinner. Beers and Netflix.
Sunday: We are going to try church for the first time since DS's First Communion in June. I have terrible Catholic Guilt! We were supposed to go to the pumpkin patch but it's going to rain. Meal prep and all that.
I had my 23 week visit today that went well. I start going every 3 weeks now at the next visit.
My parents are taking DS after swim tomorrow for the night so it's errands and lots of house projects for H and I. Sunday its supposed to be absolutely miserable so I'm sure it will just be a house project/cleaning day.

Tonight we had a happy hour with gym friends. Tomorrow is gym for DH, farmer's market for me, and soccer for DS1. I'm sure the rest of the day will be grocery shopping/errands/cooking.
Sunday is gym for me and haircuts for the boys. I'd like to swing into the Sephora at the mall near the haircut place, but that is probably wishful thinking. Maybe an indoor playground playdate in the afternoon with friends because it's supposed to pour!
I also feel like I should carve pumpkins with the boys...but I'm not going to be upset if that doesn't happen.
waverly - it’s a PITA - I will only do it when DH is here. He gutted all three and scored points!
Our pumpkins were $3 and are pretty big - grocery store for the win.
We got the younger two to bed at 8 then hung out with DD, who is going to an amusement park with two girls and three boys tomorrow. Friends since elementary, but I remember being a 13 year old girl at haunted houses with boys....DH made me a drink to make me shut up and that DD should stay home!
Tomorrow is grocery shopping and soccer for DD1. And now I have to go to Michaels because one of my neighbors boo'd us tonight and I have to put together a candy-free boo treat. Stupid boo.
Sunday I'm going to an NFL game. Heard our seats are awesome, but it might rain... don't care!
My very elderly uncle passed away today, so I am waiting for details about services. That might be added on to the weekend somewhere.
