1. Nothing other than the usual carving of the pumpkins 2. DS - firefighter; DD - dinosaur (the costume is VERY pink) 3. I wish I was organized enough to do this. But sadly, no.
1. Every year my BFF and her hubby and son come to our house. We eat pizza and then moms take kids TorTing while dad’s watch football and hand out candy. 2. SpiderMan and an astronaut 3. Sometimes I think they’re cute, but I hate the idea of not letting kids pick their own costumes. When DS was just walking, his second Halloween, I made him be a frog to match DD’s witch. They were adorable.
1. Every year we get a big enough pumpkin to put DS in! We carve out leg holes and in he goes, then we make him pumpkin shoes out of gourds. He loves it and thinks it's hilarious. He's only 3 so it's been possible so far, we will see how many years his skinny bum can fit inside a pumpkin. 2. Rocky from Paw Patrol. 3. Nope. I HATE dressing up, so not gonna happen!
1. Just carving pumpkins and ToTing. I tried to start a tradition of making cool picky dinner things last year, and both kids cried when I made these awesome little pizza bites out of wontons. DH and I are them all.
2. DD1 is a vampire and DD2 is a really cool witch.
3. DH refuses to dress up. I have a cool witch costume that I was thinking about wearing to go ToTing, but it's going to be pretty cold here tonight, so I will probably just bundle up and wear jeans.

1. October is a fun month. We hit up a farm or Halloween event every weekend. Then we TOT the same street every year which is more of an unintentional tradition... 2. DD: unicorn/MLP Twilight Sparkle. DS: The house from UP. That I made. Pic coming. 3. Maybe next year when there is no stick-in-the-mud H who is too cool to wear costumes.

1. So far, no. I didn't even buy a single pumpkin this year. 2. DS is going as a Minion. DD's costume is still TBD. She wore DS's monkey costume Saturday to a town party but that will be a pain in the ass to put on and take off at every stop since we have to drive to our ToT'ing stops. I'm going to try to come up with a cupcake or crayon costume at lunch and if I can't then I'll just pretend to be okay with her not having a costume for her 1st halloween and let the guilt eat me up inside. 3. I wish. We did it for DS's first halloween and DH and I did a few couples costumes pre-kids and it was a lot of fun. DS wanted to be Marshall from Paw Patrol again and I was going to turn us all into pups but he changed his mind when we got to the store.
@erinshelley21for DS’s first Halloween we put him in a onesie with a monster on it that had a matching monster hat. This morning, DD said that was the cutest of all the costumes they have had. So hit up Target for a long-sleeved onesie with a matching hat.

mommyatty, closest Target is 25 minutes away. I'm hoping one of the dollar stores has something. I've got a few ideas rolling around in my head so I'll come up with something. I just should have known I was going to regret not doing anything but between vacation this month, everyone in the family being sick but me, and DD not sleeping I really don't know when I would have gotten a costume put together.
1. Halloween is big for my husband's family - they used to do huge haunted houses but now we just do trick or treating in their neighborhood and help hand out candy to everyone. It's the same neighborhood where I grew up so it's really awesome to still walk those same streets with my kids. 2. A monkey and a banana. They plotted this themselves and MIL made the banana suit. I love it so much! They crack me up. DD2 wore the banana all weekend - she's SO PROUD of it. haha 3. All the way! DH is wearing a big banana suit and I'm wearing a zookeeper outfit to go with the kids this year. Usually we just try to tack on something that fits with whatever random thing they pick. It's fun!
1. Nothing other than carving pumpkins. 2. DD1 is Evie and DD2 is Mal from Disney Descendants. Most people will have no idea who they are, but I think they are extremely popular among 6-10 year old girls. On Friday there were 5 girls in DD1's dance class dressed as Evie (not including DD who was a Zombie Cheerleader). 3. Sometimes but not this year.
1. It seems the church carnival is our tradition as DD won't let us skip it. Also stopping at grandma's house to ToT.
2. DD is a cowgirl meaning she is wearing jeans, boots with spurs, bling belt, and a button up the front shirt with her riding helmet. Super cheap as she owns all of it but boring.
3. No DH hates Halloween, I have a black dress with red tights and a witches hair bow in my hair. I will add on these giant butterfly wings tonight otherwise I will stand out like a sore thumb at the carnival.
erinshelley21, Get your DD a yellow onsie and a pair of jeans and she can be a minion to match DS. Other option is do you have any fancy dresses for her at home? She could be a princess!
1. Halloween traditions? Have any fun ones?: Yes, Halloween is my favorite holiday! We do usual things though, like go pumpkin picking, carve pumpkins, ect. This year, the neighborhood is having a halloween party before trick or treating, they put flyers out at all of the school bus stops a few weeks ago. 2. What are your kids going to be for Halloween?: DS is a transformer and DD is an astronaut, they picked the costumes out at costco. 3. Themed family costumes: yes or no?: No, but it is also 27 here today, so really cold.
1. We host a party. During the season we boo other families, carve pumpkins, make s’mores over a fire and decorate the house.
2. DD is a Christmas tree, middle DD is a zombie gymnast, DS is a SWAT guy.
3. Nope. The kids do group costumes with friends sometimes, so we get bumped. Next year I want DD to be cotton candy, I want to be sweet n low and want DH to wear a tootsie roll shirt. This should be viable as DD’s friends have discussed a candy theme.

1. Not really other than we usually go trunk or treating with H's family every year. H used to carve pumpkins but he never got around to it this year.
2. DD is Batgirl DS is Marshall from Paw Patrol
3. We did a theme 2 years ago but ever since then I have let the costumes be dictated by my kids individual interests. If they can agree on a theme in a future year I will consider joining them.
phdmomma We're in the Canadian Prairies. A pre-requisite for our Halloween costumes is that it fits over a snow suit! Supposed to rain this afternoon and turn to snow tonight.
1. Nothing really except pumpkin carving. I didn't really participate in Halloween til I had a kid. I still get mildly irritated giving out candy because I am still part Halloween Grinch apparently.
2. She has a very over the top fairy costume that my mom got her, to wear to preschool today. I made her a Wonder Woman costume for trick or treating.
3. I actually did make a Batgirl mask for myself. My SO did not put in his order to me for a superhero mask in time, so nothing for him.

No fancy dresses and no solid onesies at the dollar stores. She has a colorful tutu that I'm trying to work with to make her a cupcake or a clown. I'm also leaning towards a crayon.
2chatter- huh? Did I say something about no H next Halloween? Do you know something I don’t? Lol.
DD was a ballerina her first Halloween. If you have any onesie and a tutu, just add a bow and you’re done! Lol. I’m a lazy first Halloween mom apparently.
1. I'm big on the pumpkin carving, and we always make sugar cookies.
2. Raphael (the "tough" teenage mutant ninja turtle)
3. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. H never participates; I'll dress to match DS when there's something I like that coordinates. This year, I'm a foot soldier (TMNT bad guy).
1. Pumpkin patch early in the season, pumpkin carving, pumpkin seeds, and trick or treading. 2. DD is going to be Rapunzel, and DS is going to be Max from the Wild Things. 3. Last year we all were superheros. This year DD picked out all of our costumes.. and obviously, there's not theme. In addition to the above, I'm a fairy (for TOT. A referee for work) and DH is a present.
1. We always hit up the local pumpkin patch to get a few pictures and some pumpkins. Then we carve them one evening. On Halloween, my family will gather at someone's house where we'll get some pizza and then go ToT together. There is usually around 6 or 7 kids and the adults just chat as we walk.
2. DD is a donut. DS1 is Marshall from Paw Patrol, although he doesn't like to wear the costume. DS2 is Totoro.
3. We usually don't dress up. It's a miracle to get the kids figured out.

1. Carving or decorating pumpkins. We usually go to our church's harvest party, which is the Sunday evening before Halloween.
2. DS is Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy (Chris Pratt's character) and DD is an 80's punk rock girl.
3. DH will get a costume to go with DS's, so this year he is Groot. (Past years he's been Megatron when DS was Optimus Prime, and Woody when DS was Buzz Lightyear.) I do not typically dress up. Last year we all dressed up because we were at WDW on Halloween and went to the Halloween party. I was "townie" Belle and DD was Belle in the yellow ball gown. DS was Kylo Ren and DH was Han Solo (they really nailed the father-son theme last year).
2chatter - huh? Did I say something about no H next Halloween? Do you know something I don’t? Lol.
DD was a ballerina her first Halloween. If you have any onesie and a tutu, just add a bow and you’re done! Lol. I’m a lazy first Halloween mom apparently.
That was me. H will be XH next year (if I'm lucky).
2. DS1 is a fire fighter and DS2 is a Dalmatian. We’ll got our trick or treating with the red wagon as the fire truck.
3. DH and I don’t usually dress up. The boys are coordinated this year because DS2 is too young to care. We won’t force themes going forward if they don’t want to coordinate.

1. Carving pumpkins. We go to our friends' house for ToTing so that we can bum their golf cart and hit up their fancy neighborhood for full-size candy bars.
2. I have a red ninja (whatever that is) and Wonder Woman.
3. No. I wouldn't mind dressing up, but I can barely manage to get the kids' costumes around. Having to figure out 2 more might kill me.
