2017 GBCN Crafts Ornament Exchange

Signup by November 7, 2017, Names will be drawn on November 8.  

Ornaments should be mailed by November 30.

Make it with yarn, paper, fabric, glitter or glue--it's up to you! Let your creative juices flow to create an ornament (or two) for a fellow crafter. Keep the cost of your materials to $10.00 or less--it's the craftsmanship that is PRICELESS! Once names have been drawn, you will have an opportunity to anonymously ask your recipient questions to get a better idea of how to personalize your ornament. If you have any questions regarding the exchange, feel free to post them here.

Don't forget that your GBCN screen name needs to be part of your Elfster name so we know who you are!

Pinterest is full of ideas.  I have a giant list of things to do for Christmas, but this is my favorite thing to do for myself!

So is this just an ornament that we send then? Just trying to figure out what I'm getting myself into.


ETA: Elfster has my old SN and current one...I don't know how to get rid of the old one!

You can edit it out of your name- click on the elf avatar in the upper right-> My Settings-> Profile Tab opens with name at the top, click edit and pull the old info out of that field.

And yes- just an ornament. You can ask your swapee anonymous questions to narrow down what to make or get ideas, check Pinterest (and Ravelry), plug "Ornament" into the board search bar and look through our old swaps, or just make something pretty. It's not a huge stressful thing- just have fun!

Yeah, Elfster can be weird! Sometimes it acts differently the next time you log-in, who knows- but, don't stress it, we know who you are.

LOL,  I'm new too, and have been wanting to send the same "warning".  But cmeon comment to just have fun with it has made me feel better.  I've gotten a few laughs at myself over the past few days, so I guess I'm having fun    And don't worry, whoever I get, I think my ornament is cute

I've been in this exchange for a long time- we are so happy to have new faces, especially with a tiny group this year. I think that's one of the nicer things about people who can craft things- even if it's not a craft you do/know, you can appreciate  the time and effort that went into it. I know I do!
