Has anyone tried any of the charcoal powder whitening treatments? I keep seeing adds on FB and I've looked at a few on Amazon but haven’t pulled the trigger. I can’t use white strips because they make my already sensitive teeth super sensitive and painful. The charcoal is supposed to be gentle and safe for all dental work, sensitive teeth etc. I just want a “real” review of someone I “know “ before buying.
Someone who is a dental assistant (I think) on ML warned people against this. She said it hasn't been studied enough and your enamel doesn't grow back.
Anyone else get the Ulta email with a coupon for $80 off the Dyson hair dryer followed by an oops email that the code won't work but here's 20% off any hair styler EXCEPT the Dyson. Lol get your shit together Ulta.
Do you think it actually worked? I just think a bunch of people bought it and then they pulled it.

I don't think so. I saw a few posts on Instagram that it wasn't working and I got the second email pretty soon after the first. I don't really know how it works but I'm guessing Dyson won't let them discount it but I'm pretty sure the Sephora coupon works.

Oh, I see. I was out of town so I was bummed I "missed" it.

I gave in and bought the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette. I am actually liking it better then I thought I would. H was even impressed with the glitter shadows lol.

I have a clarisonic plus that I got about a year and a half ago, I've only used it a handful of times. From what I can see they don't even make this model anymore. Do you think this is something I should try selling or just toss? I don't even remember what the original price was.
Does anyone want a barely used bottle of Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum? I don't know why it seems to suck on my skin so much when it looked good after the consultant put it on me, but I've tried it several ways and it's just not working for my face. I'm heading to the States for Christmas so I'm happy to ship it then - I'll send it for the cost of the shipping as it's going to get tossed otherwise (we can't return makeup the same way here).
I cannot get foundation to sit well on my nose, even with primer. I remember seeing a tip once about using eye primer maybe? Does anyone have a good recommendation? I don't have an eye specific primer, just the usual slippy silicone based face ones.

I'll take it if no one else has
It's yours. PM me with your details and I'll send it when I get to the states.
I'm in love with my Hourglass lipstick. It's a creamy formula and super comfortable. I also like the slim pointed container, it's something different. The Fenty gloss is pretty awesome too. Yay for sales and new makeup lol.
Is there, like, a cliff notes on the Asian skin care thread? I feel like that's nearly achieved the intimidating status of the original Makeup thread on P&CE. 😣
Did this get deleted? I saw it a billion times and now I don't see it anywhere.

I couldn't either with silicone based primers. I switched to using a bb or cc cream and it worked much better. I like the tarte bb/primer or the supergoop cc cream.
Though I think I have found my hg primer in the too faced peach one. I use it in combination with the peach foundation and it does not move all day. LOVE it.

Yeah, silicone based doesn't work for me either. A cheapo to try is Wet n Wild photofocus primer. I've tried it a couple times and it is a completely different feel. Instead of helping my makeup glide on, it almost makes it feel like it sticks it in place, if that makes sense. I really like benefit porefessional, but it's not cruelty free

My version of the cliffnotes of the Asian skincare thread was just to not read the middle 2/3 of it. I read the first few pages, then skipped to (what was at the time) the last 5 or so pages and went from there.
Or just refuse and start a new post with whatever your specific questions are.
Lol. Ok.
I used to have this amazing face mask I bought in Ireland way back in 2001 and kept reordering because it was amazing. Seaweed and kaolin clay and all sorts of awesomeness. It was great at controlling oil and zapping break outs but also didn't over dry my skin or irritate the more sensitive areas. Bonus - it was only 14€! But when I went to look to reorder last time they had discontinued it. And I haven't found a replacement.
And now that I'm wearing makeup regularly, I NEED a replacement to suck all the gunk out of my pores. But I don't have a lot of time for a multi-step face regime on a daily basis. I barely carve enough time to wash and moisturize in the morning.
So if there's a really awesome, maybe once a week or every other week, bad ass, deep cleaning, suck the shit out of your pores without over drying, affordable face mask out there, lay it on me. Bonus points if it's stereotypical Wicked Witch green, which was TOTALLY half the fun of the old one.

My t-zone thanks you in advance.
Try the Sephora brand Mud Mask Purifying and Mattifying. You can see it sucking everything out of your pores as it dries. I really notice a difference in the look of my pores after using.

In having seriously flaky skin and I have no idea why. I had to wash off my makeup this morning as out was so bad. No makeup for me today. Ugh. Looks like I'll be doing a bit of work on my face this wkend.

I like the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque for this. It's awesome and cheap.

So I figured out why my skin is peeling off my face today - due to not having my glasses on I accidentally grabbed the Ordinary Retinol 1% (which I only use on my chest) instead of the Azeliac Acid. My skin is seriously peeling off and got worse during the day, plus I actually developed a pimple, which I haven't had in ages. Time to do some moisturising!!!

And I'm still peeling. Dang. That retinol is strong. Guess I'm not going to be using it on my face until I can deal with that sort of peeling for ages (or just not use it). Time to use the mask I got for such a need (Pure Heals Propolis Rose Callus Mask). Hoping it helps along with serious moisturising the next few days.

The holiday palettes are! I’ve been eyeing a few. My birthday is this week and my mom and H asked what I wanted, hmmmm.
I put on a sheet mask the other day and my H’s face when he looked at me was priceless lol.
Has anyone tried the briogeo hair cap system? My hair is so dry after bleaching it and I’m hoping it helps. I did order it but starting to cringe that I spent $36 for 4 treatments.
