katespade- happy birthday! Did you finalize your cheat day plans?
Today: chores, relaxing day with the boys. Will take them for a walk after L's nap. Might go to Starbucks for BOGO. Tuesday: Disneyland with the boys and my parents Wednesday: grocery shopping Thursday: making freezer meals for my parents. Bunco Play date either thurs or fri Friday: chores
No plans for the weekend. Usual take C to the park and hopefully going back to church!
My countdown to vacation has officially begun - and I could not be more ready for some time off. I actually really love my job, but I'm really looking forward to shutting my brain off for a little while.
Tuesday - Therapy appointment in the afternoon, going to a friend's house for a little while in the evening.
Wednesday - I'm sure will be a busy day, trying to wrap up everything at work before I take time off.
Thursday - First day of vacation! 12 glorious days off, with no plans other than enjoying time with H when he isn't working and spending time with my mom when he is. During my time off, I'm going to try and make a dent in the pile of books I haven't gotten around to reading and settle in for a Netflix marathon or two.
Friday - My birthday. We're going to stay in, watch a marathon of The Punisher, and eat all sorts of terrible food that's usually banned from our house. I'm so excited!
Saturday - 60 minute massage.
Sunday - I will probably still be recovering from my cheat day. lol. But also, trying out a beginners Aerial Conditioning & Aerial Hoop workout class, which sounds both terrifying and really fun.
luv2rn4fun - Mostly! I've got a basic idea of what I want to do, and we're going to go shopping for food/snacks on Thursday. I might spread my cheat foods out over the weekend so I don't completely destroy my stomach by trying to eat everything I want in one day. lol.
Also, after 16 months my tattoo sleeve is officially finished! I'm going to go back in once everything is fully healed so we can take some better pictures (the lighting truly does not do the colors justice in these ones), but here it is right after my last session on Friday:
Fairly normal week for us I think...I'm taking DS to a different class at the library tomorrow since I think he's getting bored at the Wed one and then on Thurs they are having pajama storytime so DH & I are going to take him together.
Friday will be my normal errand day that I actually enjoy.
This weekend I may put our Christmas lights up outside since itβs going to warmer then normal. Then all I have to put out is our inflatables in a few weeks. Iβm not going to turn them on until the day after thanksgiving.
HoneySpider - I'm sad that we're skipping Christmas this year, but also kind of relieved that I don't have to come up with a list of things I want. Is that weird? lol.

Appointment on Wed but that's pretty much it. H had to pick up some hours on Sun but I was planning on staying home anyways! Need to do more things around the house because we have things going on the next couple weekends! I need to start Christmas shopping too soon. I already got a shirt for my sister so I'm working on it, I just need ideas from people which is like pulling teeth, lol.

Not at all lol
katespade- I'm here as well. Thankfully my parents now do disneyland for xmas, DH either asks for ideas or figures something out, and his parents and grandma generally do cash. I really don't need anything (or even want much).

awick14- being this close to Disneyland has been a huge perk of our new home! I am very thankful we get to go so much (and I love that we only spend 4 hours there and are gone 5-5.5)...I don't think I would want to do much more than that with 2 little kids LOL. We usually get to do 3-5 attractions and have lunch and call it a day. Tomorrow will be our 11th time since getting our passes 11 months ago...my goal is 12 visits (and a total of 3 visits between now and Christmas).
luv2rn4fun- that's great. I wouldn't want to spend more time then that there either.
We have a science center by our place now, its $150/year for all of us to go. (Well just dh and I as DD is free right now) They have an area for crawlers and kids under 5, with age appropriate science stuff. Dh is so excited to get the passes.
katespade, the work out class on Saturday sounds fun!
Not much going on here. Exhausted and feeling behind at work and keeping up with the house. Also feeling behind here but haven't had much time to post.
We are having a work retreat with bowling and other fun stuff tomorrow, so yay for a fun day out of the office. Then I have Friday off and a doctor's appointment. We started putting up the Christmas tree! It is kind of slow going with a two-year-old who removes ornaments as you put them on.

That sounds awesome! We have something similar that is about 20 min away and it's something I have considered getting for myself to take the boys to, especially on days that aren't good for being outside (which for us is usually mid and late summer afternoons when it's too hot).
We also have family memberships to the San Diego zoo. It's about $170 for DH and I. We will have to start paying for C soon (but will try to keep passing him off as a 2 year old for a little while longer). The zoo is 1:15-2 hours away depending on traffic. We go 4-6x/year so it's worth it.
My parents and I are the ones with disney passes (and my best friend from HS and her mom). We have the cheapest pass so can't go on weekends, holidays, and most of the summer...which is great because that's when everyone else is there. It's busy when we go but not so much that we have to wait a long time for rides. We will keep doing this until they start school and then re-evaluate. As it is, passes are $470ish (boys are free til 3) plus parking is $10-20/visit.
awick14 Glad your dd had a better night! That's exciting to have the science center close by. We have a children's museum in town and bought a yearly membership this summer. We made the cost worth it in the first 2 months. So worth it.
m - music class t - MIL is babysitting!! I could jump for joy! I'm going to a late lunch with my mom then going Christmas shopping afterwards for a bit. w - MIL's birthday. She's joining us for special thing at the library - tire trucks and firemen Surprise dinner for MIL that evening th - cleaning f- C's birthday!! Not sure what we will do yet, but my baby!! s -mad rush to finish cleaning/set up/ decorating su - first birthday party
luv2rn4fun & bk1- if you go to the science center 3 times you've paid for the membership. So defiantly worth it. Parking is going to be $10-15 each time as well. But everywhere in this area is paid parking, it's horrible.
I'm currently at our holiday pick day. I got here early and I am regretting it as I don't know many people and now I'm just hanging out by myself, lol. I am way down on the senority list so I have illusions that I will get the days that I want but we will see.
Working that last block of shifts (4 12 hrs) killed me. I will get used to it again but this is a whole new form of exhaustion, that's for sure. I'm doing everything I can to fight falling asleep standing here. π΄π΄

So a new hire still in orientation showed up this morning. Heβs not on the schedule. Iβve never had this happen so I clocked him in and texted the supervisor. WTF Wednesday is in full effect.

My left eye was bothering me Monday evening/all day yesterday. It felt like I had something in my eye but it wouldn't go away and neither dh or I could see anything in my eye. So I'm now at the doctors office hoping they can help me.
My eye isn't red or irritated looking, but it's so annoying. Urg
Edit: it's a sty. Urg! I've had them before but normally they have been bigger and easier to see. But this one is really far down on my lower eyelid.
