tacom - You have chronic GI issues, too, right? How have you been handling flare ups during your 2WW? Do you worry at all about your usual treatment methods? I was in so much pain last night, but found myself hesitant to use my heating pad because I've read that heating pads are a no-no during the 2WW.

(Spoiler alert: I used it anyway. lol.)
Aw sorry you weren’t feeling well
I have Crohn’s disease, so you are correct. Luckily I’m on a fantastic med (remicade) that keeps the disease at bay. I would not hesitate to use a heating pad though.
my go to remedies should be safe ish: ginger tea, walking, eliminating foods that irritate an already-angry bowel (alcohol, spice, fat), laying on my left side in the fetal position with a heating pad

Feel better!
Most of my remedies are the same as yours! I have Gastroparesis and chronic inflammation, but I'm not currently on any daily meds for either of them. Luckily, I've been able to control the majority of my flare ups with diet and exercise and OTC meds and whatnot, but if I eat the wrong thing on a bad motility day then I definitely end up getting my ass kicked.
This was my second flare up this month, so I've clearly gotten too laid back with my diet. It's so difficult to not give into temptation during the holiday season, when all of that delicious food is sitting around begging to be eaten!
