My birthday is next week...is there a code for the Ulta birthday gift? Do I just go to the counter? I was on top of the Sephora one this year (usually they will give you one if your birthday month has passed but in the same year...so Dec. people get screwed, I did the last 2 years!)

It gets emailed to you with a unique code. November was an IT superhero mascara. And if you are platinum 10 bucks off. They are good for a month though, so you should be good until January date of your birthday.

Yeah the gift is a tiny superhero mascara which is bs since the mid year bdays all got a full sized NYX eyeshadow palette.

I bought a small UD troublemaker mascara before L’Oréal decided to be assholes. I’m not impressed. Same brush as They’re Real, which just doesn’t do it for me. The claims and the name are so misleading.

Chocolate Gold is amazing.  I had no business buying another palette, but I LOVE it.  As far as I know TF is still safe.

I had a sample of troublemaker, and i'm so glad I didn't like it either.

I'm glad other people feel this way about UD Troublemaker. The only trouble it made was those damn fibers feeling like they were something coming loose and poking my eyes, even though I couldn't see anything doing that. I threw it away joyfully.

has anyone heard anything about sephora's 'sale on sale' promo? they did it a few years in a row, then didn't last year. i'm 73 bucks from rouge and am hoping that sale rolls around so i can get some stuff at a double discount to push me over the line.

It's fantastic....really good pigmentation, the glittery shadows are not having a lot of fall out.  The green is so awesome....a really rich forest green.

My birthday was in September and I went in the day after I got the email for my birthday gift, which was the NYX palette.  She told me they were out and were subbing a prior month's leftover gift, which was a Benefit Porefessional.  I told her no thanks.  Last thing I want is another Porefessional to add to the 50 Porefessional samples I already have and will probably never use.  I kind of feel cheated!

For some reason I don't get Ulta emails at all. I called, I'm signed up. I even tried to log in to the website to check my settings, couldn't remember my password, and never got a follow up email to reset it, even though I requested that multiple times. They're not blocked in my email, either. So bizarre.

In other makeup randoms, I tried Lipstick Queen Frog Prince lipstick finally and I love it. I ordered the full size and a full size of the Laqa&Co b'lighter blush & highlighter combo from Birchbox. I've been using it nearly every day since it came in one of my boxes. It's a great subtle, healthy flush on my skin. The only problem is that it only comes in one color.

Any special event makeup suggestions? I am wearing this jumpsuit, this blazer, these shoes, this bracelet, and earrings similar to these. 

It's mostly family and close friends of my dad. Also, potentially something I can do on-site in the bathroom at the club because I'm in charge of the planning and have no idea when I'll be able to actually do my makeup.

I've done some searching around on pinterest but 8910 duck-lip, silver-eye, 20-something vlogger photos later and my 40 year old smile-lined ass is thoroughly uninspired.

Yes I have Minx (the copper/rose one). It's one of my most used palettes. The quality is divine and the colors are gorgeous. Plus it's the perfect palette for a weekend trip.

I would do some sort of silvery/glittery eye with black eyeliner and red lips.

Zabrena on YouTube just posted a neutral eye/bold red lip holiday look tutorial. She has pretty easy to follow tutorials too.

I personally don’t use it all over, but I find that it works much better mixed in with my foundation. I dot it on my face and blend it in with the rest of the foundation.
