estrellita- I'm not sure how the lactation consultants work in your area but our local health authority that the hospital is part of has LC that work 7 days a week from 8-4 and they came to my house on Dec 28 and 31st when I needed help. Hopefully there is something similar to that where you are.
Breast feeding is so hard. Please be kind to yourself.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a lot in this area. The LCs at the hospital have a hotline to call but they don't take appointments. There is one at a clinic here but since I'm not a patient there, I haven't tried her yet. I just made an appointment with the same doctor I saw before that got us set up on the SNS (she's my old gyn from before I got pregnant, she's not an LC but takes appointments for BFing). I'm hoping she can help again. I want to see if A has any issues that would be affecting her latch (which I know isn't great, but seemed to be working before) or if I have any issues that would be affecting supply. I just hope she doesn't also make me feel crazy for pushing this so hard. I know I can make this work, I just need the support from someone that can actually help and it's been a struggle to find that.
