Give us a review after you use it! I’m always on the fence about this. When I got the email I was looking for the “just kidding, not Dyson” fine print too;-)

Yep, cut my blowdrying time in half and I don't get all sweaty trying to dry my hair. There's a bit of a learning curve to figure out the right temp and airflow settings for your hair otherwise it'll dry too fast for styling (if you're trying to straighten). I had to work at reminding myself I don't need to direct it on sections as long as I used to, because it's so much more powerful. It's lightweight compared to my previous dryer (an Elchim) and it's quieter. MH used to hear my blowdryer all the way downstairs; he no longer does. The attachments are magnetic and can be swapped out so easily.
I think I won't have to get my annual Brazilian Blowout in summer, which costs about as much as the Dyson dryer, so the cost-benefit analysis works out in my favor.

Wow! Thanks! I was hoping it was just, “meh”;-) But I have wavy hair that needs some sort of heat or it’s just a frizzy mess so this sounds like something I need...

So I just used the dryer this morning. I'm very impressed. It's by far the lightest, with the fastest speed, and the "coolest" hot setting of any blowdryer I've tried. The last is the most important thing to me. I HATE drying my hair in the summer because I get so freaking hot. The hottest setting didn't feel like it was melting my scalp, which I also assume means it's kinder to my hair.
I love the attachments! The fact that they are magnetic is so cool. So easy to put on the dryer.
Like starlily mentioned, you have to get used to the airflow. I've had a couple of Sedus, and those kick out a similar speed. It's easy for your hair to get tangled if you're not controlling the flow.
So, I'm glad I made the purchase! I wish it came with a small travel bag - I would like to use this when I'm traveling but I'm also unsure if I really want to subject it to any travel damage. I will say I would only recommend buying this dryer if you MUST dry your hair. For me it's not an option - I have super straight hair and if I don't dry it, the top layers will stick to my head and the underlayers will never dry. I never just throw my hair up in a bun and go. If you consistently dry your hair, though, I think it's worth the cost, although I wouldn't buy it without a coupon, that's for sure.
