Saturday we had Breakfast with Santa. I guess DD still believes? A few weeks ago she asked if he was real and I told her he was a real person who lived a really long time ago and now he lives on through the Christmas spirit in the hearts of people who love Christmas, like mommy and daddy and her. She yelled, "Dady, mommy says Santa is dead!" But back to believing apparently. So she had a nice time and thankfully didn't pull last year's stunt of asking for something new when we had already finished shopping.
Sunday I did some Target shopping for MIL's visit this weekend while DH coached basketball practice.
I am off this week (thank the heavens!!!) and here is my day: 5:45 wake up, make DD's lunch, pack her backpack, eat my breakfast, wake DD, cook breakfast for DD, get DD dressed, coax her to eat, get out the door, drop her at horse camp at 9:00, go to the grocery store, get home and put away groceries (DH was upstairs and didn't hear me), finish wrapping gifts and arrange under tree, light cleaning, chocolate coat oreos and cherries, pick DD up, cook a spinach pie with her which involves much prep, make her some dinner, at this point her slight ear ache is to the point she is wailing on the couch and I can't find the ibuprofen, at 5:30 I text to cancel our therapy session, text DH to ask him to check us into the walk in clinic on Hwy X, arrive to find he checked us into Hwy Y and we have an hour wait at Hwy X, drive 30 minutes to Hwy Y, now we have someone in front of us because we were late to our appt, DD is wailing crying because her ear hurts, we finally see the doctor at 6:45, now we wait a half hour for her medicine (we did some shopping and bought ibuprofen and eggs and Hershey kisses), finally get home at 7:50. At which point I finish making the mouse cookies while DH puts her to bed (he left work early).
Today he is taking her to camp and I am soaking in the tub. I will make some pasta shells this morning to freeze ahead for MIL's visit and DD and I will make more cookies before we go to support group tonight. If you can't tell, it's "do all the things" week.

Last night I wrote 6 teacher cards and 2 work cards and stuffed them all this morning. I also wrapped a little present DS got for the little friend that missed the playdate this weekend.
Too bad DD doesn't understand that today at school is the best. They wore their pajamas, are getting to open a present, will have cookies and milk for snack, and have a general christmas party.

My hand and shoulder issue that I was sure I'd have to have surgery on but ortho dr said I didn't need it but needed therapy for but didn't know how I'd fit it in. The issue was going away through rest and then through strengthening the muscle connecting the two with crossfit. Until last night. It's pretty tender today and I'm hoping it's just something like tendinitis that can resolve itself fairly easy.
