I came to start a thread DESPERATELY seeking audio books recs for a non-audio book listener and saw this was bumped and didn't feel right about a new post - lol. I'm out of town working all weekend on a very tedious, very non-engaging task and I've blown through my backlog of podcasts and am about to go NUTS!!! I'll check out some of these, but please share any new recommendations.
Almost done with the Alice Network, I am enjoying it a lot.
Unfortunately we don't have an active board moderator for Book Club, so we'd need to reach out to another board's moderator to make this sticky (what I had to do for the Book Club schedule which is why I just updated the 2017 post for 2018 )

Maybe we need to reach out to one of the admins and get our board mod/mods updated? Then we could sticky/unsticky posts as needed without bugging other mods.

I find a lot of non-fiction/political books are good/better as audiobooks if narrated by the author. Some recents:
Calypso David Sedaris Yes We (Still) Can by Dan Pfeiffer Currently listening to War on Peace by Ronan Farrow Someone already mentioned What Happened by Hillary Clinton - I flipped back and forth between reading and listening.
And every morning the way home gets longer and longer Moneyball Unbelievable by Katy turr (she narrates) Anything by jhumpa Lahiri - this isn’t a book title; literally any of her books
Bad feminist A mother’s reckoning The bluest eye Brain on fire When breath becomes air I hate everyone, except you by Clinton kelly (he narrates) The red tent The audacity of hope narrated by Obama

I am really digging Neil Gaiman's books as audio books. So far I have listen to American Gods and I am about to wrap up Anansi Boys. Both are just fantastic, Anasi Boys is little higher on my list.
