sandandsea - I was looking at the Hilton for the Starbucks and food court! I also like the Marriott right across the street. I haven’t seen a price difference between these and the other hotels - which is really weird. I pretty much get between 2k-2400 on property and at anything adjacent.
Does the Hilton have bunks/suites? I can’t remember...and DH wants to meet tomorrow to discuss options and book.
We had a regular room both times. Idk if they have other types. We are cheap, not fancy. . It was way less than the Disney properties. But is a good neighbor hotel so you can book through Disney and get lanyards and stuff included.
sandandsea - I would kill to be able to do a regular room. DD’s Medical issues mean we have to have a semi separate space or she will be woken too much - we did one room only once and she ended up really sick — before diagnoses, but she has to be able to sleep. It sucks.
Nothing for spring break. I’m fine with it. I’m lobbying for a trip to Grand Cayman next year.
Summer we will go to the beach for a week, and probably head to a friend’s lake house for a few days. DH and DD1 will camo once or twice forong weekends. I wanted to do more but my sister is getting married in the spring. It’s a destination wedding and will be $$$$$ for the 3 days we will be there. The kids will go to some camps, but otherwise the summer will be low key.
We actually haven’t figured out spring break yet. DH is going to work the whole week (saving his days off, which are all unpaid, for later). It’s busy for me too so I can only take off a couple days. Trying to see if we can send DD to see my parents in Florida but I’m not sure how we can get her there.
I have a conference in San Francisco in early May and DH is going to come with for a mini vacation. I want to bring DD so we can show her where we lived when she was born and have her meet some of our friends’ kids. Not sure DH is totally onboard so we’ll see.

We are going on a cruise for spring break. This is the first big vacation with the kids and the first cruise I’ve been on in 10 years, so wish us luck.
We don’t have any summer travel planned. Maybe a long weekend or two at the close beach. The kids are going to camp at a local science museum for most of the summer and hanging out with my parents for a chunk. I will probably take a week off somewhere too.

2chatter, I have 280 hours I can use this year and can carry over 240 to next year. I like to carry at least 100 hours over to next year. The problem I have is only one person from my office can be gone at a time and coordinating with DH's schedule. So I don't have to take that much time, but will need a break from work this summer for sure.
