Help me with my hair!

I’m attending a military ball tomorrow and I’m having difficulty figuring out how I want my hair to look. I’m having it done but need to actually figure out what I want instead of just winging it. My hair is a few inches past my shoulders, tends to be wavy (but not pretty waves, more like ‘did you brush your hair today?’ waves). Here’s the dress I’m wearing:
