Spring break here (Philly 'burbs) is always associated with Passover/Christian Holy Week. When my mom taught in NJ, she always had Good Friday and the week after Easter off. If there have been more than 5 snow days, they might trim some of the Spring Break.
We only have 3 snow days built in to our calendar and they've already been used. I'm holding breath waiting to see what this weeks Nor'easter brings.
Maryland. We get Good Friday and Easter Monday off. That’s it. No February break either.
Oh, it's not even "Maryland". It depends on the county. Baltimore County can't seem to figure out how to build in a spring break but Montgomery County - and others - can.

True. But Montgomery county is losing theirs next year too. Thanks Hogan!
I'm in NC. I chose April 2. It was originally supposed to be March 30, because the kids usually get Good Friday off too. But this year Good Friday is a makeup day from all the snow days.
I'm in central Maryland and we get two days - Good Friday and Easter Monday. Growing up spring break was always based around Easter, so it changed every year.
It used to be a bit longer but our governor changed the school calendar this year and my county needs to build in a lot of snow days, so it limited our spring break options.

Really? BCPS people were all pissed that we also lose next year while other counties figured out how to keep spring break. Didn't realize MCPS is losing it too.
Seriously- my kid (and the teachers, I think!) needs that break! Christmas to June is a LONG time.
Big picture, I think Hogan has been fine. But this decision of his? Incredibly unhappy.
NC-3/29 is the first day. It was originally a snow makeup day but the district changed their minds 2 weeks ago and decided the kids had enough classroom hours. DS goes back 4/9.
March 30 and the whole next week. Last year they did the week before Easter and I don't think anyone was happy with it. Every district in NJ, so basically every town, sets its own calendar. We don't get a week in February (which I hate) but we do get a week in November which I will always find odd.
West suburban St. Louis - March 26 is the first school day of break, though most people leave on vacation the Saturday before. Schools are all over the place here though - some were last week, some this week, some next. DS's birthday is the 21st, so it's always a pain scheduling his party between SB and Easter.
What others in CO said - last week of March except lucky me my kids are on a track schedule so we are off for three weeks starting next mon. It’s the worst!! Thank goodness we have a trip planned in April.

I’m in Carroll county and we never get more than the 2 days. Several of my in-laws work in MCPS and they said they lose the week break next year.
I agree that this decision is a bad one. Especially since the idea was to extend the summer travel season for Ocean City. That doesn’t work when the high schools still start sports the first week of August!

We get Thursday-Monday over easter. We also get thurs-monday over president's day.
Philly burbs.
That was my "spring break" as well, which we never actually called spring break. We got the few days around President's day, too.
Grew up in Upper Bucks county (went to the high school that is making the news for giving 225 kids Saturday morning detention for last week's walk out, so people may have actually heard of it!).
I don't know what's typical of my area - I had cousins in a few of the surrounding school districts and a few Catholic schools in Philly and we all had different breaks, with the exception of the district that shared the same vocational school - all of our breaks were exactly the same so those students wouldn't have weird scheduling conflicts.

Thursday the 29th is a half day, then no school Friday until Monday April 9th. Ours is always Good Friday and the week after Easter. I'm in Southern Ca.

I hate that in Maryland Easter Monday all the schools are closed (it's mandated by state law, apparently). It makes for difficult childcare since that's never a closed day for work. Good Friday isn't either, but I can handle (and understand why--even the stock market is closed) the one day. The second makes no sense to me and is a PITA.
Growing up in NJ spring break was always the week after Easter (and Good Friday). We never got Easter Monday so this was new to me when moving to MD.
Upstate NY - a full week in February and a full week in April. The April break is the 23rd - 27th. Some of the school districts in our area have eliminated the separate Feb and Apr breaks and now take two weeks in March.

The whole decision was so incredibly stupid and now looking at the calendar it really sucks for families who may want a family vacation. There's only really 2 options now--Christmas week or the summer. I think kids are going to get burnt out in the second half of the year.
