I have to fly to phoenix tomorrow, which is a day earlier than originally planned. I'll be there for work until at least next friday. What a long time to be gone.
mpc, OOOOOF. That is an awfully long time to be gone. The longest I went (and I didn't have kids!) would be a week, then home for a few days, then another week.
speaking of CSFTL, I cannot stop reading all these FB posts! I don't know why, it's not lot any of this matters one iota in my life! But I am still getting sucked in reading about all these people's car seat problems and the super detailed responses from the moderators. I need to get my question posted and then leave the group or something because this is turning into the most random time suck for me.
try looking on the website first and see if it answers your question
Oh geez, mpc, you and your H must be a well-oiled machine to make that work! I go away for a max of 4-5 days, and he’s so ready for me to be home when I get back.

Just had my NT scan earlier, everything looked good! So fun story, the lady took us in to the exam room and was saying something that ended with "when you're ready you can get up on the table". I missed the first part but assumed it was the usual directions to take off everything from the waist down. She then starts asking me questions as she goes to her computer about my pregnancy, dates, etc, so I'm answering as I set my bag down then take off my jeans. Then I'm like hm this is awkward, I don't have a sheet or anything as I'm thinking about taking off my underwear, and suddenly I'm like oh, wait... this is an abdominal scan. So I interrupt her questions to ask if I'm supposed to be taking off my pants and she's like no, we can just move the waist band down. Whoops! I said I'm sorry, I'm so used to taking off my pants for every ultrasound! Talk about force of habit. So pants back on and I hopped up for the scan. She was so fast, but she showed us the placenta, arms and legs, nasal bone, measured the NT at 1.9, heart rate 150, and we got to see baby do a barrel roll and relaxing at one point with an arm behind their head and one floating out front. So cute! Baby still measuring 3 days ahead at 12w6d (I'm 12w3d), but not enough to change due date.
I'm finally done with marathon appointments now, next one will be regular OB visit in another month. Just waiting on nipt results, hopefully will get them this week.
Now we have to decide when we want to go public with the news. Especially since H's dad had apparently been telling some people! His mom let us know that a friend of theirs who is also their hairdresser mentioned he told her, which had H like wtf?? I mean it's getting close to when we would tell anyways, but it's still our news to share. That lady is mom to one of H's old friends, so now we're wondering if she told him and his wife...ugh. I'm just surprised we'd have to tell FIL not to tell anybody yet, given how early we told them due to it being an FET and given all our IF history. H's mom and my mom/dad seemed to know not to say anything until we decided to. Oh well.
How exciting, turboteal! We need to go public too, hmm. I told my mom not to tell anyone, but I’m pretty sure she’s shared. I hope you don’t feel pressured to do anything you’re not comfortable with!

Yay turboteal! And I TOTALLY did the same thing at my 12 week scan... started taking off my pants and the u/s tech was like, uh, you can leave your pants on.

Ha, oops, turboteal! This reminds me of when I was on the Got Pregnant board and someone posted about how much they hated the abdominal scans, and I was like, they're a lot better than the alternative!

TRUTH. If I never have to see another vag wand again, I'll be happy.
I know I'm a bit of a broken record these days, but A had a good day at daycare. 2 successes on the potty. And a success this morning at home, too. Is it weird that my kid only pees 3-4 times a day?
turboteal, I had a scan at 12 weeks (due to bleeding, not an official NT scan) and they did it transvaginally. so you weren't too far off. Now if you start taking your pants off at the anatomy scan, that will be another story, lol.
loira, I'm glad she's figuring out how to let it go! Did you do anything different or was it just a matter of time? I think my son would've only peed a few times a day if we had let him. But he has some kidney issues and his urologist wanted to make sure he wasn't holding it longer than 2 hours. We had to get a timer and it was a giant pain in the ass. he still fights being told to go when he doesn't think he has to, even now at 5.
loira, E only pees like 3-4 times a day too. But it's large amounts, so I'm not worried about his output. We just say that he's a camel and can hold it forever.

Yeah, lots of pee each time. Not dark in colour, so I'm not worried about dehydration. She doesn't drink a ton compared to other kids, but eats lots of fruits and veggies. Even when she was in diapers, I had suspected she didn't pee very often, but it was harder to tell because you never knew if you'd changed the output of 1 pee or a combination of several.
mpc , she's figuring out how to let it go, but she's still waiting until the last moment. We've got about a 30 second window now, which is an improvement. She hasn't even been doing this for a week... I have to remind myself of that, haha. ETA: Nothing different, although I think being at daycare with her teacher helped. A seems to be a bit more compliant there and willing to try new things, so I think she was willing to sit on the potty a bit longer, maybe?

turboteal, I didn't post on Facebook until after she was born, opps. I kept planning on it then all of the sudden she was here! Needless to say, people were surprised.
I ended up taking E to the doctor because she kept getting a fever. Diagnosed with fifth disease, but I'm not certain that's she she has. Her cheeks aren't red and I don't really see a rash on her body. But she is very tired and has no other issues - like congestion, ear infection, cough. Temp was slightly elevated this morning but not really a fever. I hope she kicks this soon. She seems in better spirits, so that's good.
Hey ladies, I feel like I haven't checked in in forever but between work, blogging, and j I haven't had much time. J turned 8 months this week and is trying so hard to crawl. He can scoot forward a little bit so it's going to happen soon! Naps have finally regulated and are decent in length but we still aren't sttn.
I can't believe how far along some of you are but can't wait for the babies to get here!! Those of you potty training have my sympathy. Been there, done that with several of my 4 and 5 year old special ed kids and it's rough.
King26, I was wondering how you were doing. I follow you on IG obviously, but I remember you had struggled quite a bit after J was born. I hope you're doing better these days. xo

We are doing really well. J is at such a fun age. The first 3 months were really hard on DH and I. We are both older and having a newborn was tough. I also had PPA but after those first 3 months it has gotten progressively better and easier. We are loving being a family of 3. Thanks for asking! When does your husband come home for good? Hopefully soon.
