-Today DS has his 4 yo checkup, which gives me an excuse to leave early. Yay! -Tomorrow each kid has a tee ball game plus they have their tee ball pictures before their game. So we will be at the fields for 4 consecutive hours. That is going to blow. I may send DS Home with MIL after his game because he will be over it by then. - Sunday is DS’s birthday party at Pump It Up. We have 12 kids who have RSVP’d, including my kiddos. Lots of sib pairs, so half his class didn’t respond. I’m hoping like hell they don’t show up because we only paid for 15 jumpers. So it’ll be a shit show if they do.
Saturday: I'm doing a garage sale with a few friends, at one of the friends' house. Hopefully my junk is a lot of other people's treasures! DD will come with me, at least for part of it. DS has a baseball game midday, so I may try and leave the garage sale for a little while to watch part of his game. No plans tomorrow night, but if the weather is nice, maybe we'll have dinner out, get ice cream, and walk around town.
Sunday: Church in the morning and then a free afternoon. We'll probably do some yardwork if the weather is nice.

It's a slow day at work - thank goodness. And it's casual day. AND I have hot coffee. TGIF!
Tonight is madness. I have to leave early to get the kids and dress/hair/makeup my DD for her dress rehearsal today. The rehearsal is at 5:15, which is fine for DD - I'll feed her a heavy snack before hand. But managing the 1YO DS during dinner and pre-bedtime should be interesting.
Tomorrow is our final day of dance and her recital. DD's so excited. I have to figure out a gift for her teachers. I was thinking a card with a Starbucks gift card. Do you guys think that's good? They're young and I have no clue what to get them, but coffee money always sounds good LOL
Sunday is nothing. It's out last free Sunday until July and I have so much to do. I definitely need to swap winter and summer wardrobes. I also have a big meeting on Monday and need a new outfit, so FX I can sneak out for a few hours to go shopping. My wardrobe looks old and I was avoiding buying anything new, but this meeting warrants a new dress, jacket, and shoes.
Some kind of random play date is scheduled for tomorrow with MIL. I need to figure out the details... some distant relative twins will be in town, so of course, we have to parade our twins by so they can all meet and bond over twin-ness. I think it's supposed to also be a big cookout? I need to figure it out tonight.
We're doing early mother's day dinner with my mom on Sunday.
Otherwise, lots of free time to dedicate to cleaning up the yard and setting up the patio furniture and screen house. It's finally warm!!
DH is delayed again due to more rain. So...no idea on how the weekend will look. Tonight dropping DD at a friend’s cirque performance and catching up on to-dos alone was the plan....but that won’t happen if DH isn’t home with the younger two.
Tomorrow is volleyball and formal shopping because that didn’t happen last weekend. Need two dresses. DD has broad shoulders - she’s a classic hourglass - and it’s harder than I ever imagined to find dresses that are right in the shoulders and arm holes.
Sitter Saturday night for Cinco de Mayo with BFF and her DH at one of my favorite for real upscale Mexican places. Can’t wait for that.
Church Sunday. There is nothing on the floor of the laundry room. I’m waiting for lightening to strike the house and burn it down. (While we were in the Caymans my neighbor cleared out all the laundry but I’ve managed to maintain it somehow).

I’m off today and am doing laundry and cleaning. My girls are both in their school-wide show of the Lion King tonight. They’re excited. I’ve promised them ice cream after.
Tomorrow DD1 and I have our last weekend Girl Scout event (thank god!) and H and the little one will do something together. It’s over at 3 so I’m planning to hang with the girls in the afternoon and evening so H can do a little work, maybe I’ll make a roast and then he flies out early Sunday.
Sunday IDK. I may take the kids to the science museum or to swim at my parents’ if it isn’t rainy or maybe we will just loaf around the house.
DH and I have tickets tonight for the local baseball team. I’m really hoping it rains so we can stay home and I can clean and then sew. ☺️ we’ve both been gone a lot and the house needs some love.
Saturday we have another dance class and DD is already telling me she doesn’t want to go. She is not a fan and when she does participate she does her own thing. I’m glad we only did the YMCA class also glad the other 3 year olds are all doing their own thing. I feel bad for the 2 5 year olds who are trying to learn.
My FFC I’m going to avoid signs for another year or two because I miss not having to be anywhere on Saturdays.

Tonight my MIL is coming up with DH’s cousins and buying pizza for dinner. She can be so loud and OCD about everything that there will be nothing low key about tonight. I also have no idea when she’s going to show up. I have so much to get done for work and this weekend and I will be so annoyed if she shows up before 4:00. His family doesn’t seem to understand the whole WFH thing. While I have flexibility, it’s as if I’m in an actual office people. I can’t entertain you.
Saturday morning is DSs 1st Communion which is why all the family are coming. It’s also DSs 8th birthday. We decided to grill some burgers for after the ceremony and have everyone over to our house. It will be about 80 degrees so I think it will be a fun day.
Everyone is leaving on Sunday and if the rain holds out, I’ll get a run in and then I have a hair color appt in the afternoon. I’m looking forward to zoning out for a couple of hours.
Tomorrow is haircut day. I'm not sure how it will work out since my appointment is at 4 and DD's is 4:45 and we have different stylists. We used to have the same stylist, but she moved to a super expensive shop, so we're trying new people... FX that he doesn't ruin her hair.
Sunday we're going to have dinner at a swanky old restaurant for anniversary dinner... like 130+ years old. We were there a few years ago (also for our anniversary) and it was... alright. They closed down a couple weeks later and did huge big reno and their menu looks much improved, so I'm pretty excited about that.
I’m off today which has so far been cleaning 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, doing laundry and running errands. Kids have half day so I am picking them up and then they have haircuts. Pizza and maybe watching Karate Kid tonight.
Tomorrow is swim class, Cub Scout Campout (DH is going woot woot), DD and I will have a date night and she said she wants to re watch Goonies lol. Signing up for summer camp as well.
Sunday is probably the boys being tired and a birthday party.
Also, FFFC but I take my kid to an adult salon and pay adult prices. But finding a kids person who can do her hair was impossible. They can cut girl hair and boy hair, but managing the transition from bald to this was not their forte:
I wish I could convince her to keep her hair this length. It's basically the best thing ever. But she wants to grow it long... and it's her hair, so I decided to let her have a say so long as she gets regular trims during the process.

I just got back from the last day of school picnic with DS. I can't believe his first year of prek is over. Im cleaning up the office building to shut my brother up. I'll be leaving at 330 though so i can go home and workout. Dh is at work so it's just the kids and me tonight. We will probably do pizza.
Tomorrow is a busy but fun day. DH wants workout before he comes home so I'll be solo all morning. We have a tball game at 11 and its the official opening day even though games have been going on all week so there will be a shit ton of people there. Then rush home and get everyone showered before we head to the church to get out marriage blessed and kids baptized. This has been almost 2 years in the making lol. We started the process in July 2016, then we found out I was pregnant so we took our time satisfying the requirements of the Catholic church for us to be married since I am not Catholic and we didn't get married in the church. Now here we are. So we will do all that tomorrow afternoon, go have cupcakes and then go eat Mexican with my family and anyone else that wants to join.
Sunday DH and I will be together for 10 years. The marriage blessing feels almost perfect timing wise. We've gone through a lot of ups and a lot of downs in the 10 years. The downs mostly being outside of our relationship, but still some in. We're starting off the next 10 years with me closing a big chapter of my life so it feels symbolic maybe. I'm not sure what word I'm looking for.
Nothing exciting for that day though. DS is spending the day with my mom and I may go buy clothes while that's going on or I may go home and get ready for the week and make her drive the 45 minutes to bring him home.
k3am. She’s adorable! We use kid places and they don’t do great at boy hair either. They do two styles and if you don’t want one of those two, you get it anyway. We now take them to an adult place as well (bring iPads) and they go when dh goes.
Tomorrow I volunteer at church and dh and ds1 May go to the track. Sunday will be low key.
Took my car in for an oil change this morning. Strolled into work late. I have a massage this afternoon so nice light day of actual "work". No plans tonight.
Tomorrow is yard work and parade of garage sales in our town, might go hunt for some cheap outdoor toys for the kids. DD is going for a sleepover tomorrow night. Sunday morning DH has a double header floor hockey game and DD has skating in the afternoon.
k3am , I think I remember you got your hair cut short too right after your DD's surgery? Are you letting it grow out too? She looks great!
I cut it the week before into an a-line bob (I'm not sure if that's the right phrase. I suck at hair talk). I've let some of the length come back (it's just about shoulder length now) and have kept up the undercut. I didn't realize just how much hair I have... 1/3 of my head is shaved off and if my hair is down, no one notices.
Speaking of not knowing hair lingo.. DH switched his hair style up a few years ago. It was great at first, but then... not great. I hated it, I told him I hated it, but I couldn't tell him what to do to fix it, so he never fixed it. He switched barber shops with the move, and apparently the lady who cut his hair was a hair dictator. According to him, he told her what he wanted, she asked.. "Don't you want you to look sexy for your wife?" And he said "ummm... okay, give me sexy hair."
His hair is much improved. It's not a drastically different style, just an improvement on the one he had.

I want to be able to go into a hair person and tell her to give me sexy hair. Why can't I have nice things? I know if i did that with any of the ladies I've been seeing lately I would get crummy hair.
There is ONE lady at the local kid's place that can do DS' hair (DD's hair, anyone could do...now. When she was little she screamed so much that she was hard, but nowadays she's easy). This lady, she's really wonderful. And after Harvey I found out EVERYONE uses her. She flooded really badly and lost all of her possessions and we all got together to raise money for her. I've never had a hair stylist that I loved as much as this lady and the whole neighborhood feels the same way.

Nothing exciting planned this weekend. Tomorrow, I'll hit the gym in the morning and then head to my therapy appointment. The rest of the weekend will be for bill paying, budgeting, and house cleaning. If it's nice out, we'll get the yard ready for summer.
k3am, Dh just takes DS with him to Great Clips, I was super unimpressed by the kid's place, and their unwillingness to listen to me when I said that he is afraid of the buzzer.
Today I went on a field trip to the zoo with my daughter. My H has drill this weekend so I’ll drop DS at fencing, drive 45 mins with the other 2 to pick up packets, then back to pick him up, drive 30 mins back home then head to a BBQ with our good friends. Toddler just isn’t getting a nap I think.
Sunday am is my half marathon! Woohoo! Afterwards when my H gets home we will hang out on the patio and drink!
One more thing to do (well not me, let’s be honest) H will hang the hammock and then it will be complete. I’ll have pics soon.
I went to Sport Clips for my own hair. They were... confused and afraid of me since I was a woman. All I wanted was for them to buzz a portion of my head. They charged me $30. I will be going back to Ulta (reaaaaaaaaallly out of the way now) where they only charge $13.
