I haven't had a chance to try it out, but, figured I'd share. The supplies for this thing are not cheap, so keep that in mind, and it's been hovering between $35 and $45 for a few months- so probably not hopping back up to $70+ anytime soon (though, who knows with Amazon). Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it out tomorrow.
shortcake2675 Did you have any issues with the Cameo. I've been doing a lot of research on cutting machines and 2 of the the best ones are the Cameo and the Maker. However the Maker seems to be a lot more expensive, even though it's clearly the winner, but my budget is only ~$250 (max $300). This article explains it pretty well: freshlypickedblog.com/cricut-maker-vs-silhouette-cameo-3/ I will use it for vinyl cutting mostly (maybe some paper cutting), so I think the Cameo will be ok for me. What do you think?

I’m really happy with my Cameo 3. I cut vinyl, some paper, and maybe a little of the foils. There is a new Cameo 4 coming out that is supposed to be comparable to the Maker, with a rotary blade and more pressure plus whatever else. But I’m not ready to drop more money on another die cutter in the near future when I’m pretty happy with the current one. Especially when I want to upgrade my embroidery machine.
I’m frustrated with mats right now because I live in a dry climate and the adhesive dries out super fast. I’m sloppy and don’t get the covers on them as soon as I’m done a lot of days, but that’s a me problem. And I suspect I’d have a similar problem with cricut mats too.
