We've been talking about birthdays a lot because MIL's birthday was yesterday and DD1's is also this week. The past two nights DD2 has gone to bed crying because she wants it to be her birthday. She is so very sad. I always tell her she is getting too big and needs to stop growing so fast so she also told me that she will stop growing when she is 4.
DD said that at camp yesterday she was sitting on a bench and a boy came over and sat next to her and said, "Hey, girl", and without saying anything she got up and sat on a different bench. I have a feeling she saw it on tv and it didn't really happen, but with DD you never know. It sounds mean but I am sure she did it for comic effect. And if it really happened, I'm sure it worked, too!
DD (5) tells me last night that she wishes I would buy her a bra.
DS (19m) is going through a very aggressive phase, lots of hitting. The last week or so, if he hits me, I'll say ouch and hold his hands, he then puckers his lips and gives me a kiss as if to say "I'm sorry". It's really cute, but I wish the hitting and tantrums would stop.
katrine05, DD will be 7 in a few weeks. She loves bras, shopping for them, wearing them, etc. I got her some from Gymboree on clearance for Christmas. She wears them to work out at home (LOL) and wears them under loose fitting shirts at school so if she does gymnastic she doesn't flash anyone. It is super cute. I guess I would rather have the issue of her wanting to wear them and not need them vs a couple of my friends whos daughters need to wear than and refuse/fight it.
