His head is flat and getting worse. My husband is mortified that our child is going to be wearing a helmet. I think it's actually kind of funny. To make it easier on all three of us, I'm going to decorate it. I figure people are going to be staring at him anyway . . . . I might as well give them something to look at! I just can't decide on what to do. HELP!

You're a cool mom! Is it wrong to admit I think the helmets are pretty darn cute? I hope when Claire gets her leg braces, she can get some cool-looking ones.
I don't know the name but there are companies that decorate/sell stickers for helmets. A little girl I know I has one with watermelons on it and it says "fixin' my melon"

That's adorable!
OP, I'm sorry about the helmet, but I agree that you are a great mother!

The most well-known is www.blingyourband.com/. They have some cute stuff, but I'm not completely limited to that. I'm a bit artistic and could go almost any route.

Love this idea! But I'm thinking it works better on girl than a boy.

Ethan may need a helmet also, we have an appointment on the 21st at Children's Boston. My friend's son had one that was painted like a Pats helmet! My son may also need a chest brace when he's older luckily not together! Poor kid! He's handsome regardless and so is your LO!

We have wrapped a couple of helmets for babies and they always come out adorable. You have a great attitude about it. I absolutely love the pac-man idea!
Not on this board, but saw it pop-up on my new threads. Just a note that if you paint, be aware that it will need frequent touch ups! My cousin had an artist paint her twins' helmets, and she ended up needing to touch them up every few weeks.
It sucks that LO needs a helmet, but if it were me, I would totally decorate it. A dinosaur or a monkey head or something super fun. If you're crafty you could totally do some kind of fabric cover with eyeballs and stuff. It would be super cute.
