We had a play date with C’s preschool class today! So much fun! C had a blast- it’s all he is talking about and he was SO happy (he always is but it’s nice seeing him play with his friends like he was...he has been really shy with our neighbor kids, didn’t sing songs at school, and hardly talked to his teachers so hard to know what is going on but I think he genuinely loved his preschool class and enjoys time wirh his friends...probably just shy and something he’s going to have to work through (he did start talking to one of the teachers towards the end so there was progress!).

awick14, I took the side off E's crib at 22 months, and moved him to a twin bed on the floor at 25 months. It's been fine. He doesn't fall out.

Thanx ladies. She has not tried to climb out of her crib yet (18 months next week). We are thinking of possibly putting her crib mattress on the floor and seeing how that goes but I feel like we would have to move everything out of her room or she would play with it.

She doesn’t want to fall asleep right away anymore, where she used to put herself to sleep in the crib. When I try to get her ready for bed she tries to open all the dresser drawers and pulls all the clothing out. Urg

Not even 8 AM and E has already had a screaming fit over daddy saying no to giving him a treat. It's going to be a long day.

My sick kids may have changed our weekend plans but the plus side is that it’s gorgeous outside. They’ve been taking a nice nap and H and I are relaxing poolside. B’s fever broke so I’m hoping we kick the snot and gross coughes enough to head to ILs tomorrow.

((Hugs)) and commiseration. C has had some rough moments today. He threw a massive fit at breakfast because I told him he had to wait for his eggs to cool off (DH ended up taking him outside and I gave his eggs to L). Then he threw another tantrum asking for tv...I reminded him that he’s not getting tv back until he stops with the potty shenanigans at nap/bedtime. Nap time was also a tantrum so I took one book away at first and then all books away (he gets 3-4). He asked to pee so I took his blanket away for nap time (which he knows is the consequence, along with no tv). Fun times! He’s currently not napping (he might end up falling asleep but I doubt it) so this afternoon should be fun LOL

Blue Moon- I hope the kiddos feel better and you guys end up having a nice weekend! Glad you are enjoying your peace and quiet during nap time!

E is sick and has had about 20 diarrhea diapers in the last 30 hours. I feel bad for him and for J because we had plans to go to a festival and a lego expo this weekend. On the bright side, our pool is finally open, so we've been switching off swimming with J and dirty diaper duty and snuggling E. Now H is flying a plane for Father's Day, so it's just me.

krystee- how is E doing today? Hope he is doing better!

estrellita- update to the potty bedtime shenanigans...at nap yesterday I told him he could go potty now but once the diaper was on “no more til after nap”. He went and then asked again when I put him in his crib. I stayed firm. Guess what...he napped and didn’t pee his diaper! Did the same at bedtime (he also asked for the night light after his potty request failed and I said I would come back and check on him...would totally give him the night light but it didn’t work a couple weeks ago and he wasn’t screaming/acting scared so I was waiting to see how it played out). Hoping I can reverse this bad habit before vacation. So nervous how we are going to get them to sleep in the same room (thankfully we do have a 1 bedroom suite but we want the living room for us to hang out after bedtime).

luv2rn4fun Glad it worked! It hasn't for us. Lol. He pooped in his pull up last night so.. yeah. Ugh. Last night was horrible trying to get him to bed. He just will NOT go to sleep! As for the hotel, we usually end up with E in our bed. I don't mind it if he sleeps, which only happens if we shut everything off and also sleep, lol.

luv2rn4fun thanks for asking! I thought he was out of the woods when he went all night without any issues, but then as soon as he had this morning's bottle, the diarrhea was back. Poor baby!

krystee- poor E 🙁. Sorry he is still having bad diapers. Hope he feels better soon.

estrellita- I have a feeling C might be sleeping with us too...just hoping we can still have a little kid free time after they go to bed. Eight days is way too long without a break LOL. I figure worst case will be putting L in the closet or bathroom and making C sleep in a PNP. Also, C did the poop thing before nap (even though he had just gone to the bathroom before nap...but only went pee). I left and an hour later he was screaming (not sleeping the entire time too). Went in and he had pooped his diaper. So definitely not a 100% success 🙁
