Someone please fix my broken baby. Ugh. She came down with a cough but it's not THAT bad. You'd think it's the worst possible thing to ever happen to her from her screaming. She skipped right over any fussing last night and went straight to high pitched screeching making me jump up thinking something was seriously wrong last night. She proceeded to scream half the night. Luckily for me, H dealt with most of it, but why is she doing this? It's also possible she's teething since she doesn't have any yet and she's past the age E got his bottom teeth now. I'm not seeing anything still but who knows. I'm also wondering if food is upsetting her tummy.. I've been hearing her tummy grumble a lot, plus she had a pretty terrible diaper this morning, lol. I wish she could tell us what was wrong!
I'm frustrated right now with my milk supply. I was doing pretty well, mostly staying ahead of her. Ever since that stomach bug I'm averaging 23oz/day and she drinks 25-30. My small freezer stash is going to be gone before we know it I'm trying to stay hydrated, power pump when I can (not often), eat enough, etc. But it's just stuck. I'm not sure what to do. Of course there's a part of me that wants to say screw it and stop pumping, but then the guilt creeps in and keeps me going, lol. Logically quitting would be better for everyone. But I just can't! Ugh.
Hugs estrellita. That all sounds really frustrating. Did you try some Motrin just in case it’s teething? G was a beast when he got his first two teeth. The same thing happened to my milk supply after a stomach bug. I had a week of stomach bug and mastitis that really did a number on my supply. I hope you have a different experience but mine never did recover no matter what I did. I just tried to have the attitude that I got what I got and supplemented with formula when I had to. You’re doing a great job!
The kids and I had a really nice time at my parents house this weekend. They were pretty well behaved and most importantly everybody slept! G took two good naps and they both STTN. Usually going there means two days of crappy sleep and then several tough days trying to get back on schedule so it was a pleasant surprise.
While we were gone H got the entire pool fence installed. He worked nonstop the entire time we were gone but it’s done and it is perfect. It was such a relief to let the kids run and play in the yard and not worry they are going to tumble in at any moment. I think we’ll spend a lot of time out there now.

Thank you! We have been giving her ibuprofen before bed but it's either wearing off or not helping. She's had signs of teething for a while but it's gotten worse lately so I'm really hoping one pops through soon so she can feel better!
I try to have the same attitude with my supply but I'm stubborn and still feeling a little guilty/sad that nursing didn't end up working for us. I keep thinking at least I can pump more than I did for E and that it's so important to do. But really... it's not, you know? I mean, do I resent my mom for not even trying to BF? No, not even a tiny bit. I know I'm the only person that cares. Oh well. I'm taking it one day at a time until either a year or when I finally give myself permission to stop!
We're going to see a genetic counselor tomorrow because of H's family history. I'm ridiculously anxious about the 45 minute drive, because my anxiety is out of control and I really don't want to be that far away from home right now. Plus side, they're doing an NT scan while we're there, so we get to see baby again.
This is probably a stupid question, but does anyone know if the NT scan is done by internal or external ultrasound? I'll be 11w6d, if that makes a difference.

Sorry your anxiety is causing you trouble right now. Hope seeing baby wriggling around helps to calm it somewhat. My NT scans were both external ultrasounds.
katespade GL! I never got an actual NT scan but my first u/s with E, they did both (doc suggested one due to the spotting I had, I was about 12w). I think with A the first one was just abdominal though (also at about 12w, couldn't find her heart beat.. I have stubborn kids, especially her. Lol). I can't even remember anymore!
katespade- my NT was abdominal as well. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.
DD has been teething forever! She hasn’t gotten any teeth since January (or early February maybe). Anyways I finally see the 7th tooth this evening! She was super clingy today at daycare so I am hoping that was it. She was also stuffed up today so I hope she’s not coming down with something, or it’s just her teething.
Dh is out of town until Thursday, he left yesterday. I am exhausted! I can’t wait until he’s back and we can go back to our normal routine.
Baby is still measuring right on track and heartbeat is 171bpm. <3
I have a mild uterine septum, so they’ll be keeping an eye on my cervix length and I’ll get an extra growth scan at 32 weeks. Apparently it also increases the risk of the baby turning breech, so they’ll have to watch for that when I’m full term.

Started fertility meds last night. If this cycle goes how I'm guessing it will with the timing of the holiday next week, IUI might be the same exact date as the IUI that gave me A.
MrsMB, estrellita - I’ve been saying the whole time that I feel like it’s a girl! H is so sure it’s a boy, but I keep telling him that he needs to prepare himself for being wrong. LOL.

I guess we’ll find out in 10 days!
My boys’ heart rates were never that high, usually 140/150s.

E and A's heart rates were about the same, I think A's were just slightly higher (both started in the 160s, went down to 140s, then back up to 150s). When they told us her heart rate was like 139 I think at the a/s I knew for sure she was a boy.. then I was shocked when they said she was a girl! Haha. It's one of those things that's not really proven but for some reason I still believe it. Like how you carry.. I definitely carried each differently and it matched up to what people say the differences are for boys and girls.

Ohhhhh, you BEST update us in 10 days!!!!
OF COURSE! You guys will probably be the first to know, besides H and I (and H will only know first because he'll probably be home when they call. lol!).

So far, pretty much all of the old wives tales point toward girl, along with my intuition. H is the only one who's holding firm to boy until he's proven otherwise. He also promises that he won't be disappointed if it's a girl, though. lol.
I find that intuition is usually the most accurate. Of course, I had no intuition.
E's heartrate was routinely in the 150s throughout my pregnancy, and didn't drop to the 130s until the last month. Everyone (family, friends, coworkers) except like 3 people thought girl. I craved salty, savory food, though, which is apparently a huge boy indicator.

My cravings have been all over the place. I've definitely been craving sweets like crazy, which makes sense because I've always had a sweet tooth, but I've also been craving high protein foods. I've been eating so many turkey burgers and chicken heavy meals.
A friend brought her son to our lunch out last week after didn't inform us he had HFM until we all got home. Not sure if she realized before lunch or not. Well, now exactly one week later, A broke out with blisters on her feet and one just by her mouth. Poor baby girl. And H is pissed at the friend because we bought symphony orchestra tickets last year for his birthday that they are playing along to the star wars movie and that is supposed to be our double date night tomorrow with his childhood friend. But now we have to cancel the sitter because I can't let them expose themselves to it. So it looks like H will be going by himself unless my mom changes her mind or we find someone to take my ticket. Bye $105.

I would be so beyond mad if someone did this to me/my kiddo! WTF?
estrellita, her kid had 103 degree fever the two days before and had pimples around his mouth. She claimed they were teething/resulting from the drool. She also had taken him to a kids play place the day before we all had lunch (so one of the days with fever). Sooooo annoyed right now.
And while I wasn't super excited about the show, I was excited for date night/dinner out. Bleh. I also started freaking about it canceling this cycle, but thankfully my RE said we can continue.

Oh yikes, yeah if my kid had those symptoms I'd be getting them into the doctor! Sorry about your night out
katespade, when she showed up she was all "I totally needed a margarita. He's feeling better and I have cabin fever." Well thanks, now I'm stuck in my cabin with a crabby and cranky kid. She's at the bottom of my list now of people that I want to hang out with of our core group.
