We are staying at club med, and want to spend a day at Scape Park at cap Cana.
We have a 9, 7, and a will be 3 year old then. The other family has a 9 and 6 year old.
Would you bring the 3 year old or have him stay at the kids club at club med? I figure we will use the kids club for all the kids when we are around the resort but wasn’t sure whether people leave them for excursions. He can’t do a lot of the activities. What would you do? The park is 23 mins from the resort.
Also, had anyone been to scape park? Which activities did you do?
I have not been to club med but I am not certain if they are allow to leave the resort 100%. The other AI's I have been either you have to indicate where you are at on the resort or they give you a pager. You may have to hire a babysitter.
We are going to DR this November and staying at Dreams Dominicus. Our inlaws are coming and prefer to stay at the resort so that helps with our SN 3 year old.
Oh you are probably right. I don’t see us leaving him even if its an option. I feel bad that he won’t be with the rest of the kids on a regular day (when we are at the resort) since the older 4 will be in the regular kids club and he would be in the petit club.

Sorry to zombie this thread, but was curious how you liked Club Med Punta Cana and how things went with the kids club. We're going with our two in Feb (3.75 and 6) and our friend's family (kids 4 and 6). I'm bummed my DD will be separated from her her brother and friends and am kind of hoping they're not super strict on the rules and will let her join the rest of the crew. Not expecting this, and I'm resigned to send her to Petit, but curious if you had any insight there.
ETA: I've read a lot about it being predominantly French speaking guests - did you find that to be the case?

scm1011 we loved it so much we are heading back in the fall! I knew the kids care would be what my son w special needs would require. My older kids will be “independent”. Another poster here warned me that when they ask you at registration if they are independent it means they can go anywhere in the resort on their own. While my older ones would be in the teen category for this trip, I’m still making them do frequent check ins and they MUST stay together. My younger one will be in the main kids age camp. The activities for kids are phenomenal! My older ones were like “it was too windy for sailing so we went on a speedboat!” Lol!
Even if your younger can’t go w siblings it’s gonna be perfectly fine. Mine were separate and they ALL loved it.
Yes they spoke French but we never really had problems, most speak English too.
I love the layout of the rooms too. Bc I have a party of 5 we have two adjoining rooms but they are laid out so there are hallways and separate rooms in each room, like a giant suite and not just two rooms together like you have in hotels. So lots of space for us. Let me know how you like it!
