Maybe it's my reward for sucktastic pregnancies (five hospital admissions with number 2!), but both my babies have been easy, so it is possible! That's not to say I find being a parent of two easy...there is just so much to do between work, two kids, the older one's activities, trying to figure out the second one's preferred schedule when we're always on the go with the first one...I just really sat down for the first time to relax at 11:39 pm tonight! But individually they are both very easy. Age theee has been more challenging than the baby years for sure. The emotional roller coaster is crazy! But man does he say the sweetest things.
Got my first 4+ hour stretch of sleep last night! DD wasn't feeling the rock n play so I put her back in her usual bassinet. I didn't bother to move it bedside so she was on the far side of our room. I heard her stirring at one point, but fell back asleep before I thought to get up and feed her.
Finally! She's turning into a chunky monkey already and doesn't need to eat every 2 hours during the night. Trying to get her to feed more during the day.
We took our announcement pictures last night. SIL already sent us a preview and theyโre amaaaaazing. I canโt wait to see the rest, and I have no idea how weโll choose which one(s) to use. ๐
I should never have posted that DS2 was easy. I was in tears three times today because he literally never napped (well, he took one 10-minute nap), and he cried every single time I put him down. I needed to clean the house for visitors, so that was lots of fun. He cried a lot and it was still messy because I couldn't let him cry that long. My nerves are shot. I am off to take an aimless drive while playing fun music, and then I will get Dairy Queen.
