Thank you guys for all the good thoughts! Our doctor moved things to see us personally and we have a tiny flicker of a heartbeat, measuring 6w1d so right on track.
I did have a ton of spotting with DS because I was scratching myself when inserting the Endometrin, so he said he might give me oral progesterone if it still happens.
I am trying to remind myself that, one, I have no control so I might as well be as hopeful as possible and that, two, every pregnancy is different. I'm just anxious because we already heard the HB with DS only measuring 5w6d. I also had a terrible dream about m/c, so I'm all messed up.

Ugh, we returned probably 15-20 minutes after we left. The poor nurses were so nice and I felt bad because it wasn't their fault.
I think it's a combination of them having way too many patients (I know it was never like this when I started there) and a couple of the doctors being slow as fuck when they're on monitoring in the morning.
They have a satellite office that's right by H's job (this office is by my job) so I'll probably do my follow up ultrasounds there.

This is great! I'm so relieved for you!
At my ultrasound during my first pregnancy at 6w0d, we "probably" saw the heartbeat, which was sort of encouraging I guess. A real flicker is much better!

I keep telling myself that DS was the exception, not the norm, lol.
Granted, two days after we saw his HB, I had excruciating cramps and we went to the ER, where they couldn't find him. And then my doctor found him a day later, lol.
I had a dream that I was pregnant last night. You people are putting things in my head!
Seriously, though, congrats to everyone. I'm thrilled for you all!
I sucked hardcore at being pregnant, so I say massive cramps, plus bleeding (I had it on and off until 15 weeks), plus feeling so shit you want to die is normal. But I've also heard it's normal to not have any symptoms, so thanks, mother nature, for confusing the hell out of all of us.
What did the dr say, seeyalater52? Are you going back for a follow up? Thinking about you.
Just saw your follow up on the other thread. 45 is low, but not unheard of. I think my clinic likes to see 50 for the first beta. You’re not far off from that.

I’m going back Monday. She said they look for higher at this stage, at least 50-100, but you can’t know for sure it’s not going to work out until you see if they go up or down.
She seemed cautiously optimistic but I’m not able to be optimistic about it at all. 😭
That’s ok. It’s alright to be freaked out by this process. I’ll be optimistic for you. I hope you’re able to rest and take your mind off this a bit this weekend.

seeyalater52, oh hon, I'm sorry it wasn't the reassuring news you were hoping for. If you want positive anecdotes, I will give them, and if you want shaking fists at the universe and cursing everyone out, I can do that, too. I know it's going to be on your mind all weekend, but I'll keep everything crossed for Monday.

Has anybody ever had a beta this low and had it work out? I feel like it’s mostly just the gateway into an early loss or ectopic or a drawn out “pregnant but not pregnant” series of low doubling nightmares. Anecdotes welcome.

I bet someone will remember from around these parts, but most of my IRL friends didn't do betas.
I can tell you that I've scoured the internet to find beta stories with my first cycle and there were TONS where people started low (20s, 30s) and their doctors only cared about the doubling.
I'm pretty sure my doctor really only cares about doubling, too. I don't think they've ever really mentioned a threshold beta that they want to see numbers above.

I think krystee had a really low beta with her first son. Lower than yours.
I'm sorry it wasn't more reassuring seeyalater52. Sending good thoughts <3
seeyalater52, did they test your progesterone? If you aren't on supplements (which would obviously change the data), progesterone is often a better indicator this early of pregnancy viability. At least that's what they told me at the EPAU at one of the best hospitals in London. I had my beta tested around the same time when I was pregnant with A, and while it was in your doctor's range, it wasn't on the higher end. No idea how it doubled though, as they just preferred to give me an ultrasound every week so I never had another draw. I know it's impossible not to worry. Hang in there.
I also remember WAY back on the nest (when I was still a lurker), there was a woman on one of the boards who had done IVF - Courtney something? Her betas actually dropped at one point before rising, and it wasn't ectopic and she went on to have a healthy girl.

Thank you. I’m taking progesterone in oil injections daily. My progesterone was 24.37 ng/mL but I have no idea the references ranges for that and I’m sure it’s inpacted by the PIO.
FWIW, seeyalater52 I had a thread on here from a few years back with several low beta sucess stories, many were quite lower than yours. Sending you lots of sticky growing baby vibes!

My first beta was 43, and I was told that they wanted at least 50, and to prepare myself for it not working out. Beta went to 120, then to 357, and baby girl is 15 months old and currently upstairs trying to do handstands in her crib instead of napping. Keeping everything crossed for you!

You have no idea how much I needed to hear this right now. <3 Thank you.
I'm sorry you are freaked out but remember, doubling time is more important than the actual number. I've seen a couple girls start under 50 and be ok. When is your next beta?
