I guess this can go here. DD is doing a weeklong volleyball camp through her school. I was incredibly nervous. My child is smart and kind and funny and just about as uncoordinated as a child can be who doesn’t have some sort of issue with her development. I mean, she regularly busts her ass doing almost nothing. But she’s apparently doing really well at volleyball! She loves it, and on the second day she got one of the two pencils the coach gives out for doing a good job and trying hard and listening. I’m so proud of her.
I just want to brag. DD just did 3 backbend in a row. She has had this huge mental block about not doing it on her own and last night Coach A had her do it until she did it on her own. All the other coaches kept trying to go over and help her and Coach A was don't touch her she can do she just needs to make herself. The rest of practice was a mess but that part was cool. I also talked with her other coach who is her camp leader and she said that DD has been all over the place and needs to regain her focus. No idea how to help with that...
