Why I'm disgusted with tb

I'm just so ticked that I need to vent (which is pretty rare for me).

I initially resisted this board and I'm, like many of you, not thrilled that we're all in different places right now. I'm so ticked at tb though that I may not even lurk there.

Many of us have reported the troll who has been saying and doing truly terrible things as of late. I reported every post I came across that was offensive. It's been days since I personally reported and yet those posts remain on our boards rather than being removed.

I have now written to tb asking for an explanation for their delay in reacting to this person and have received no response. I'm disgusted that a person can write such horrible, hateful things on a public forum without even the slightest consequence. Even without consequence, tb should have been much quicker to delete these posts.

We were extremely active on tb, we are no longer active there I think largely in part of this troll's efforts. This alone should have drawn tb's attention, but it hasn't. This is unacceptable in my opinion.

I know this is probably a dead horse, but I just had to get it off my chest.

It does bother me that I too reported the trolls several time and nothing has happened. I get how you're feeling.

Yeah I don't think Mods can delete posts, maybe just lock them? I could be wrong about that too. Only the bump gods can delete though.

Dojo, what you just said is exactly my complaints with TB. Let's not forget they are a company who makes money off of us. There is no reason they can't have mods that do something. If we give them traffic then they should accommodate us.

Well then where the freak is the MOD? Honestly, I think we need 2 or 3 over on tb and they need to be there more than just every now and then.

I keep seeing people post this, and I think you guys are giving The Bump too much credit. They have never really cared about the messageboards. I'm not saying that's right, but far nastier things have happened than what happened on our board and nothing was done then either. The entire nest basically imploded and left and they still didn't do anything. They don't have the manpower to go through every board for trolls. We were just one board of so many. Just because it was important to us does not mean it was important to them. I am not saying it's right, but I really don't think they care about a troll, regardless of mean they are.

Now why they don't give the mods power to delete- that I don't understand.

Well they did end up finally sticking with the old format but I get what you mean. My whole point is, they do have bigger fish to fry, so the least they could do is give us an active mod with the ability to delete threads. I'm basically repeating what you just said but yeah. Maybe if we all flood BK she will finally help?

I know back when I was a mod on TK we had the ability to ban people (3 day ban) but had to get a Knot God to perma-ban someone. Though even the act of banning deleted that persons posts. I don't know how the mod powers work on TN though.

Either way, they don't even look into reported posts until they get a large number of reports on a specific one.

That is how it used to be but some mods abused the power so they took it away.

Also, I talked to kellbelle and she said TB only requires mods to be on for 3 hours a week. Unfortunately, I think that isn't enough time.

So this could be a far stretch. But since rainbow chip actually talked with kellbelle I'll throw it out there. Does kellbelle even want to be our mod anymore. 3 hours a week is pitiful.agbe she could just surrender her account to someone who cares. That we we'd technically be getting a new mod but in BK's eyes it's the same SN so all is well. I don't know if kellbelle is even active with her account so if she is active elsewhere I understand this not working.
