5 days until FET, so I started PIO this morning. Guess what? It wasn't bad at all. That needle was scary, but it didn't hurt.
I have the option of moving from AM to PM injections, so I'm debating what to do. If you did shots in the morning, did it make you extra tired? That time is definitely more convenient for me.
Yay! I’m glad it wasn’t too bad! I did mine at night but I’m really not a morning person so it worked for me (also they didn’t give me a choice.) I didn’t find overall that being on PIO made me super tired (not moreso than using suppositories or even my natural luteal phase really) so I cant speak to that part.

I did mine in the morning. Then I didn't have to worry about being home or taking supplies out with me, and because my H was out of town a few times, I was able to go to the clinic and have them do the injection for me (I was too chicken to do it myself). I don't think it made me extra tired.

I meet with the doc on Monday, but I was thinking of asking him if we should do a round of egg retrieval while I’m out for the summer and can make the doc appointments fairly easily and then do the FET later on in the year. Thoughts?
Jalapeñomel, if you think you're going to need more embryos later, I would totally do a retrieval now. My doctor encouraged retrieving as many now as I think I will ever need, since my eggs will only get older.
I have one on ice, but I have no faith it’ll work. Insurance will pay for three IVF procedures, so that’s one more after the FET.

Have you looked at your insurance to make sure they don’t have any exclusions for additional retrievals while you still have one embryo remaining? If they will cover it I’d totally do another round just in case. Best case scenario you won’t need it but I tend to be pretty conservative and lean on the side of caution.

Jalapeñomel, I would do a retrieval now. Retrieval cycles are so freaking hard during the school year, plus you have the added benefit of hopefully having some more on ice. FETs are pretty easy to schedule around during the school year and the monitoring is nothing, comparatively.
Jalapeñomel, if insurance will cover it, I would do it. But like pp said, my insurance required me to transfer all embryos before they would let me do another retrieval.

I did 3 of my 4 retrieval during the summer because I teach and it made life easier. You have much less appointments for an FET. I also had 3 cycles paid for by insurance so I would do it now.
