Confession: I want to smack the person who just requested (at 3:45 on a Friday afternoon and I need to leave at 4:00) that I save and send over 10 different job descriptions because the tool is down. Lack of planning on your part (or the leader you support) does not constitute an emergency on my part!
I also accidentally named my child after this guy (Pood) ]We at least lucked out and he's not some kind of murderer (actually, there is a murderer with the same name in the UK)...
DS is living proof of why you need to google first name middle name combinations and not make changes when you're in labor.
k3am - I always loved Siobhan - was on my list as well. A woman by that name worked in our accounting department for a time, and I remember my boss getting rages because “S-Eye-oh-ban” kicked her expense report back. I was like “Um... if you call her, please don’t say her name like that....”

Dh is in a mood so our weekend should be fun. I did not jump on board with his desire to take a spontaneous overnight trip. He didnt know where he wanted to go, it was nearly 4pm when he called me, I was 30 minutes from home, I'm on day 2 of my period, and hotels cost money that we are about to be running low on for a few months.
We literally have 1 thing we have to be at this weekend and I am looking forward to it. I have something going on every for the next 6 weekends in a row. 1 is a weekend away, another is a wedding that requires ak overnight stay, one is a 3 night camping trip, and the others will take up my entire Saturday each time.
DH seems really unhappy with life lately and it's starting to get to me. We are supposed to be on our way to easier, happier times. He's just so unsatisfied with everything in his life and I'm starting to feel like I'm the problem.
Charlotte was the 70th most popular girl name the year she was born. LMAO!!! Oh well. So much for a “not overly popular but not unusual” name.
Tomorrow we pick DD up from camp. I got a second letter today and it was lovely. She has made 2 friends and is loving it. I plan to keep things pretty chill for the weekend. Maybe a little pool time, but nothing too overwhelming. I am sure she needs rest.
I dropped off DS with his uncle today. He was so excited right up until i had to leave then he broke down and has been crying all the way home that he wants his mommy. My heart hurts but I know he is going to have fun

I'm feeling less whiny and emotional today. DH is fine. His feelings were mostly hurt that ds didnt want to go out and do something with him. He said he knew we weren't going to go on a last minute trip. Why even ask then?
Oh well. Hopefully the rest of the weekend is better. Last night ended up being a bust completely because the worry and hormones gave me a headache that almost ended up becoming a migraine.

As for kid names, DD's name is increasing in popularity (is a nn for Charlotte) but ds's is still pretty uncommon but also considered normal. However, both names ended up on a top 10 list for dog names in 2016.

We are back east this week for a round of grandparent visits and fun with DS’s younger cousin. Latter half of the week will be with XILs and XH. He will be staying with them for the rest of summer and I’ll head home because I have work and career planning homework to do.

We just got back from vacation and have to run some errands this weekend. Our master bathroom remodel is starting Tuesday so emptying the bathroom and closet is a priority. And getting ready for ds’s camp next week.
Ds1 has a traditional Spanish name but has never had another in his class. It was around 150 on the list the year he was born. It’s just gotten to the top 50. DS2 has a really old Hebrew name that I doubt we will run into. I think it was in the 400s on the list. Although ds1 did have one on his soccer team last year which surprised us and then!
Both kids have traditional and fairly common English names. DH is a combo of Irish and English. They have biblical middle names. DS has had kids in his class with the same name. DD has had kids with the same nickname. But it’s not too bad. My best friend growing up was Siobhan, and even though we went to an Irish Catholic grade school together, the teachers always got her name wrong.

one thing is that truly no one has my DD's name. She's named after my mom, and I've only ever met one person with the same name other than my mom. The other woman is an old lady who sings in our church choir and during DD's baptism, everyone in the choir literally gasped when they heard DD's name. The lady came up afterwards to introduce herself - it was pretty cute. Everyone always mispronounces it (even after correcting them over and over) and usually they call her by a nick name.
I just took DD and DS to a pool party with a ton of kids, on my own again. They hired a life guard and had lots of little pools as well as their (gorgeous) pool that has a very shallow end (like that you sun bathe on). Anyway, after the near drowning incident DD had a puddle jumper on at all times beginning from when we got out of the car and walked through their house to the pool. She even kept it on during the pinata and cake. I watched her like a hawk and basically didn't talk to hardly anyone. Good times.
