I really liked The Sixth Extinction, too. Very well written and easy to understand. (Unfortunately a bit depressing in content, though.)

It was a really good read (especially since the past 2 books for this particular book club were awful). Normally the format of this book club is 1 hour of book discussion, break for food, 1 hour of socializing, but we actually kept talking about the issues raised in the book during the second hour.
I finished "The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye" and enjoyed it for what it was. I could do without the violence but I guess that's standard for the genre.
Currently reading "Missoula". It is sparking a lot of emotion, but I'm glad I picked it up.
In school I hated Beowulf with a passion. i generally liked most of what we read but can't think of any that stood out as a favorite.

Oh, thanks for mentioning this! I have been meaning to read it since it came out but have had a hard time committing to what I assume is a long book. I'm going to add it to my library loans for vacation next week. I like to have a variety of genres to fit my mood and there is no internet where we're going so I have to plan ahead.
