We are redoing our master bath and the contractor started on Tuesday so I have before and after demo pics to share. Thought you all may be interested as I know I love seeing all of yours!
ETA a question. We need new lights for the closet (one ceiling and one wall) and possibly the toilet room too. We’d like to use the same fixture for all three locations and keep it under $150/light. Also the brighter the better and modern/sleek in style. Any recommendations? The canned lights in the main bathroom are staying.
And this is the material we have chosen. The floor tile has 4 patterns and are large 2ft x 2ft tiles. The shower walls are a white wavy tile. The marble 2x2 are the shower floor and the gray quartz is the countertop.
I needed to get the lights shipped so I bought these. Very minimalist and will flow well with the existing lights and under $100 each.
I also ordered these pulls and knobs for the vanity and linen closet that are being built. They are the wayfair basics brand so I’m hoping they are good quality. The reviews seem really good and they were so cheap! We wanted something modern and minimalist so I was happy to beat the budget here.
In other news, the tile I ordered from wayfair went on sale yesterday and I emailed them asking for a price match even though it already shipped and they granted their new price and gave an additional discount. Also the first toilet we ordered from them arrived cracked and they sent out a new one immediately. So far I’ve been super impressed with their service.
Bathroom remodels are so much more enjoyable to follow from this side of a screen! Lol. It will be fun to see it come together.
I really want to take final "after" pics of mine since it has been done for over a month now, and "mostly done" for more like 2 months. But there is one tiny thing that isn't done, so I keep waiting. Calvin and his dad were supposed to do it and neither of them is prioritizing it at all, so months later we still have one drawer that doesn't fit into the vanity because there's just BARELY a conflict between the drawer and the nut on u-bend of one of the sinks. Grr.
sandandsea ,let me know what you think of the knobs and pulls. I've been eying those for our kitchen.
I have similar T shaped knobs I bought for my kitchen (to replace old brass round knobs). I have a love and hate relationship with them. They look nice, but they can become loose, then you'll have to tighten and straighten them out. But sometimes I'm too lazy to go find the screwdriver to tighten it so it just remains crooked.

And the first shower walls are done. Two weeks in and it feels really slow moving now. I think the vanity guy is the hold up but there is no grout and not all tiling is done so I know there is more they could be working on.
Once it’s a double shower it will look more normal sized. But it’s giant. We got rid of the jacuzzi tub and stall shower and my excuse to sleep do n because dh is in the shower.

Great choices!
Did you ever figure out your archway dilemma? Here is what we have in a couple of rooms. We also have a bathroom archway and plan on doing this when we get around to putting a door in.

That’s cool. We did end up buying the arched door. Lots of issues with ordering and the place we are getting it from but I’m hoping it all works out in the end. The contractor went to talk to them after we had already been three times so fingers crossed.

We have a window! And grout! The grout made a huge difference. And the vanity builder had an extra 30 inches in his design that I pointed out over the weekend so he amended the design and the price decreased! And he is pstill holding to the delivery date (that was already 2-3 weeks later than he had said initially). So crisis averted.

We are in the piece by piece waiting stage now. We have half of the cabinets in. They are doing the sink plumbing and cutting the drawers around that. I do like the knobs and pulls for whoever was asking. They quality seems really good and the price on amazon was unbeatable.
The bathroom is SW mindful gray and the same color as before. The bedroom is SW tranquility taupe. Both change color a lot depending on lighting and time of day.

One more step done. We have countertops. It’s Ocean Jasper silestone quartz. It’s lighter in person and has really pretty sparkles in it that you can’t see at all in photos.
