I've started saying that DD's favorite toy is her older brother. If she could just tackle him and climb on him and bounce on him all day she would be happy. She likes carrying around a small bucket and putting stuff in it... but only if it is her idea of course, not if I try to encourage the game. Someone did just give us this toy, and it was a surprising hit. smile.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Spin-n-Surprise-Lion/dp/B073DDJPKD/
The smoke is so bad here. A has hardly spent any time outside. awick14, how are you guys doing?
We are doing ok, but mainly having to stay inside. Our daycare does outside tine for 60-90 mins 2x a day and they are currently only doing 15 mins outside at a time. š DD hates it.
The fires and the smoke can go away at any time please.

Yeah, A was bouncing off the walls yesterday and I could tell it was because they'd mostly stayed inside. It seems better here this morning - you can actually see the outline of the Malahat from my house, but Saltspring is still invisible on my commute when it's normally quite clear. I am totally over this. Hope your family in K-town is okay. Must be even worse there.
loiraawick14 - I hope the fires clean up for you guys soon, scary stuff. I donāt think we would handle being cooped up at home for as long as you guys have had to mange.
Time is flying by! E is 3.5 months old already and is such a treat. He changes so much just day over day and is chunking up nicely. He is really wanting to sit up and hates laying down. He can ab crunch his way from laying to almost sitting up doesnāt have the ability to hold him self up so just lays there in his crunch position, it is hilarious. The bumbo and sit me up seat has been a life saver. We have hit the 4 month sleep regression early and I miss my sleep lol.
We had a chicken pox scare but thankfully he didnāt end up getting it. We didnāt really go out for 1.5 weeks because we didnāt know if he had the virus or not and most of the places we go to had a lot of young babies. This weekend we have a 5.5 hour drive each way for a wedding H is in and then next weekend we are driving another 10 hour round trip to help my sister move into her apartment. This summer has been so busy and I am just looking forward to the fall when our calendars clear up.

Ok, good to know about the toys. I got the vague impression from the speech therapist that she should be more into the toys he offered. I think he needs to not bring so many in the room because she wants to look at them all and she gets distracted.
I didn't know there were fires in Canada too, the news down here is all Trump. Hope you guys and your families/friends are staying safe and can get out again soon.
We are staying at the disney animal kingdom lodge this weekend! No park tickets, just planning to enjoy the resort for a couple days. DS is most excited that we are picking him up in the car line and he doesn't have to go to aftercare today. lol. DD slept through the night last night for the first time in months which was awesome, but of course now we are going to mess that up by trying to sleep all together in a random hotel room. Oh well, it should be fun. And we can put the kids to bed and sit out on the balcony and watch the giraffes.

BFN this morning (8dp6dt). š
Iām sad, but Iām also sort of okay with it right now. There are so many logical reasons itās better if we donāt have another right now. But it is hard to accept that weāre done with babies.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

loira- the air quality is 10+ where my family lives. And we are going to be visiting them for 12 days starting on Tuesday. š Iām not sure if we will stay the whole time anymore. If the smokes that bad we will either decide not to go or stay home. (Here it has been a 3-4 on the air quality scale)
I go back to work tomorrow after 11 weeks off and I'm not ok with it. Also, J turns 1 on Saturday! How did that happen? We have his party and baptism on Sundat. Busy week here.
Girl. Godspeed.
We survived the party and baptism through roseola and 800+miles of travel and I will never plan two major events close together ever again, even though it has to be this way. NEVER.AGAIN.
I hope it's way easier for you.
All of that and the travel is too much! Glad you survived.
Guys, J is 1! We had a nice low key day yesterday but today is the baptism and party so hoping it goes well. Shockingly enough he woke up at the perfect time to get in a decent nap before we have to leave. Fx it all goes well.
Anybody else's kid not really play with their toys? We went to speech therapy yesterday and the therapist asked what toys she liked to play with, and I was like, uh, the cat? her dishes in her kitchen drawer? she likes to wander around the yard holding her bubble wand? She'll play with toys a little if I sit down with her.
J likes to play with the lids in the cabinets, in drawers, etc. But he does like his toys too. His cousin who is 22 months doesn't like any toys and never has.
