Here's what I don't get - she had to find her uncle, which she did fairly easily, and yet his own son who is an evil mastermind can't find him? Out of everything that was unbelievable that really got me.
I'm confused...I thought max or whatever the m name bad guy was just uncles former buddy from the army or whatever. .
Yeah, he's the guy who was in the car with the uncle when the power went out.
I haven't read THG but it gives me that vibe and I hate rip offs
Not really.
I sort of want to climb on my high horse about this, because THG is a blatant rip-off of several distopian novels.
Revolution reminds me rather strongly of a series that I'm blanking on the name, where a mysterious power pulse shuts down ALL generated power, and keeps it down even after the collapse. I never got past the first part of the second book because I got bored, so I don't know if they ever solved the problem.
Yes! I want to know why the power went out, which of course is the hook. My H spent the entire show yelling at the TV for all the inconsistencies and falsehoods of a world without electricity. I finally threatened to turn the TV off if he didn't shaddup.
Same here... there was lots of snorting and sighing from the enginerd watching it with me.
Well, this confirms it's a show I won't watch. I'd be snorting, too. You should have seen me during that dumbass grey's anatomy messed up research plot.
I can't handle when shows don't get the most basic things right. Seriously, how much work would it take for a writer to call a real scientist or engineer? The real thing is probably even more cool than their writer brains can think of.

We also watched it last night. I was underwhelmed. We're going to give it one or two more shows before giving up on it. We try not to judge a show by the pilot.
