So heartbroken. He was in the hospital for a few days for fluid build up but they drained it and he seemed good. He had just left the hospital at the 6pm. My sister had just talked to him and he was all happy and chipper going home. By 11 I was called and told he had a heart attack at home and died en route in the ambulance. He had some health issues for sure. He had Lung Cancer about 13 years ago but fought it and went into remission. The radiation did a lot of damage to his lungs and heart so it wasn't unusual for him to go to the hospital a couple times a year for fluid and breathing trouble. It was just surprising because they had just sent him home a few hours before :-(
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
thank you for checking on me. I am ok. We have not been able to have services yet as he was in FL and I live in CT. They just got death certs so he will be cremated soon and my niece will bring him with her home. then we can do a service. it's just been lots of ups and downs :-(
cjcouple, I am very rarely on here anymore, but just happen to get on and see this. I am so very sorry. I lost my dad 15 months ago, I understand all too well. Take care of yourself and give yourself lots of grace in the months ahead.
