Do any of you know of any retreats that have classes for both knitting and quilting/sewing? My mom and I are looking for one to do but she doesn't knit. She would like to learn to quilt and/or learn advanced sewing techniques. i found one in KY that bills itself as that but she looked at the classes and it's pretty much stuff she can either figure out easily or knows already. (She gave the example that, other than quilting, she would never take on knitting a wedding gown because she doesn't know the techniques and would like to learn. I don't sew so I have no idea what that means.)

Sorry, I don't. I've only focused on looking for ones that involve knitting, and they usually include crocheting. But I haven't seen any that incorporate quilting as well.
Might be worth a look. I would lose my mind at a knitting and quilting retreat. I would be going back and forth like a maniac.
It is to be noted that most quilting conferences I have attended have a plethora of people hand sewing and knitting throughout the evenings. Don’t know if a quilting retreat appeals to you in any way though.

aprilsails, I can't even cut a straight line, let alone sew. I am not good at it nor have much interest. I did see Kanuga, but unfortunately this year anyway it will be when my mom is on a mission trip to Haiti. I'll bookmark for next year, though!
