I'm usually not done straightening up the kitchen and getting breakfast/coffee until 7, and the local news is done by then. I was watching BBC World News, but don't have that channel anymore. What news do you guys watch in the mornings? One of the network shows? MSNBC? CNN? I don't have regular cable, I have the cheapest PSVue package (which is why I lost BBC,) Hulu, and Netflix.
Today now that Lauer is gone. I don't care for the peripheral people (Al Roker, etc.) but I like Savannah Guthrie and Hoda.
For some reason I didn't realize this was news, I thought it was similar to Regis & Kathy Lee where they talk to celebs and stuff.
it's a mix of news and nonsense, which is probably the only reason I prefer them. It's hard for me to do straight news first thing in the morning but they do a good run down. (Also, I only watch when I WFH, which is like once a week.)
I don't watch anything in the mornings (my grandma was always a Today show watcher, so I remember watching Katie Couric and Bryant Gumble at her house on vacations and stuff), but I have Alexa play Up First from NPR. I have an echo dot in my kitchen and bedroom, and the echo plus in my living room.

I was going to suggest this as well! Morning Edition and The Daily are also good podcasts to subscribe to for the morning news.
I don’t. I listen to podcasts. NPR’s Up First is about 12 minutes long, which is the perfect amount of time for me to make breakfast. It’s a mini Morning Edition. I also listen to The Daily from NYT. If I had more time, I’d probably just listen to NPR.
I do listen to Minnesota Public Radio while dropping my son off at school and driving to work, unless there's been a recent mass shooting. Then we listen to music. He doesn't need to start his school day, which may or may not include an active shooter drill for him, with, "XX of people were shot at a school/concert/night club/church/ shopping center/movie theater, etc."
I watch our local ABC affiliate for about a half hour while I'm getting ready in the morning (6-6:30ish), and then NPR in the car from 7-8ish depending on traffic.
If I turn on the TV in the morning (which I usually do not due to time and DS’ requests for cartoons) I turn on our local NBC station around the time of the local updates to hear the weather & traffic. Sometimes I’ll read about breaking news here and turn on CNN or one of the networks to get more info.

These days there is no time for the TV to be on in the mornings but before I did watch Good Morning America because I love George Stephanopoulos. Please nobody ruin him for me.
I suppose I could listen to the news on my 20-minute drive to work but I need to wake up and music helps me better with that.
I work from home, but usually watch the news until 9ish. I'll turn on CNN and/or MSNBC. But usually only watch for the first 30 minutes of the hour since that's when they have the good stuff.
I don't watch anything in the mornings. DH has the local news playing in the background. His morning tv consumption has dwindled recently because he has to cast it from his phone/computer to the tv now, and sometimes that's just too much to think about as early as we get up.
