Friends and family are Rockapella's Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego. My husband is Marc Cohn's Listening to Levon, and people who aren't in my phonebook are the default Samsung ringtone - I don't answer those.
My phone is also always on silent, but on the rare occasion that it’s not, it’s a regular ring. Like the kind a telephone used to make.
I had an old flip phone that had the BEST ringtone ever: it beeped once, then vibrated. It was the best of both worlds and I wish Apple would put it in their mix.
I'm surprised that so many people keep it on silent or vibrate! My bf does this, but it's because his phone is almost always in his back pocket. When we're at home and he puts it down, he misses TONS of calls and texts. I don't get it. Plus my pockets aren't big enough.
How do you silent phone people do it? Are you just always calling people back like "Hey, you called?"
I use tones/sounds on the Samsung lists (not the defaults). I don't work, but, I volunteer often and don't want my ringer on when I'm reading to preschoolers or in a meeting or classroom- but, I just flip it back and forth. Thank goodness phones make that easy now- several phones ago, I got in the habit of leaving my phone on vibrate and missed a really important call (about my daughter). It was enough to scare me back into ringing (most of the time), because my phone isn't always right with me.

My phone is usually near me so I see the screen light up or feel it vibrate on my desk. If I miss a call, I just call back when I see it. Same with texts.

Do those of you who call back when you see you have a missed call listen to the voicemail before calling?
I really can't stand the people who call back without listening to my voicemail first. Sometimes it's not convenient to call me back and I mention that in the voicemail. Listening first will avoid endless rounds of phone-tag.
I just looked and it's "Moto Z Droid". The default it came with. I never bothered to change it. It's on vibrate 95% of the time. I only turn on the ringer when I am expecting a call.

People know better than to call me. lol. On the rare occasion I have a missed call, yes, I will call them back. My phone is usually right near me regardless, though.

I almost always do, because I also can't stand when people call me back without listening to my voicemail. My parents like to leave me messages that go, "Hi Bali, this is Mom/Dad. Everything is fine. Call me back when you get this, love you, bye", though, so sometimes I skip theirs!

Same. I haven't heard a ringtone based on a song since 2005. I am surprised by all these ringtones!
A phone goes off in my classroom at least once a day. Along with that flashing light.
yeah, there is a ringtone that you can either download or comes with the phone that is essentially meant for the deaf--it vibrates and has a bright flashing light to get attention. This is what my husband uses because at work he often cannot hear his phone.
I use the theme song Joy of Painting from Bob Ross. I grew up watching it and my kids have watched it a ton on amazon prime, so now they love it to, so hearing it always makes me happy.
