Other than the kitchen, I like it.
Apparently I have Kate's clothing and decor style. lol. I love the pants outfit and think it goes to show that Kate and Meghan do talk and share style secrets. There is no way Kate's stylist came up with that.
If anyone follows the Swedish royals, they're at the Nobel Prize ceremony tonight:
The Queen looks fine. Sofia's red gown is nice but the giant pearl choker doesn't look right with it. Victoria's gown is kind of a hot mess, and while I love her tiara the harsh center hair part has to go.
There's also a woman seated on stage behind the royal family in a gigantic hot pink and orange ... cape-thing.
And this is extremely petty, considering she just won a freaking Nobel Prize, but I really love Frances Arnold's gown and necklace (Caltech, Chemistry).

Victoria's gown is... interesting. I like the tiara, though. I think Victoria's fashion/style is almost always downright awful, but she seems like a lovely person, so she has that going for her.
And I KNOW the Swedish wedding tiara has history and whatever, but it is hideous, which might also influence my thoughts on Victoria's style. Although I hated her wedding gown, too.

I'd like the gown better if it wasn't three different colors. It also appears to have a giant butt bow? She usually goes Huge Princess Ballgown for the Nobels but this one doesn't look like it's working. But she seems like a hard worker and a nice enough person. She's also battled eating disorders so I hope she's at a healthy and happy place now.
I don't love the wedding cameo tiara either but I think Victoria made it look as good as it's going to look. Her usual slicked-back hairstyle worked well for that tiara. Queen Silvia just looked sloppy when she wore it to her own wedding.

I wouldn't say that is being petty. She looks stunning. And she's brilliant, too, which you acknowledge as well. Petty would be "OMG, George Smith put his hand out first instead of waiting for the King to extend his. Awkward! How typically American of him!"
I rather like Victoria's dress, taken in context. Retro fashion is current and the dress is definitely different from anything else present, without being out-of-place.
1. I reject the description of her nails as black. They are clearly a very dark maroon or purple.
2. I'm enjoying the royal family tap dancing their asses off like "Brexit agreement disaster? What disaster? We are pretty and do nice things! It's all going to be fine!!!" Mainly because it's increasing the number of outfits for me to admire, which is the sole purpose of the royal family in my life.

On the topic of royals, I wonder whatever happened with the old grandma queen who got into it with her princess granddaughter and daughter in law in public not that long ago? That was so awkward to watch, yet enjoyable. lol
I don't know which woman is which there, but it's like they're taking turns being the one in the striking red gown vs. the one with the unfortunately severe center part. Previous center part carried it better. It looks a little drowned rat on the current one with the side tendrils and washed out gown.

Oh excellent question. Wasn't that Spain?
Yes, that was Queen Letizia of Spain and her MIL, Queen Sofia.
