I’m on my peak week for marathon training mileage! Then I begin taper! I heard taper can be rough but I’ve never experienced that in half training. This was a ton more mileage. mustardseed2007 how is taper for you? Some people say they get anxious and weird.
OMG got home today and sun was still out and I think it took me less than 15 mins commute!

PreK-2nd age ish? I have the whole party planned if you really want a cheat sheet . The monster stick puppets and ghost lollipops are their crafts they are making to take home. I hot glued the pre dyed sticks to make the frames and they will decorate with hair, eyes, and markers. The pretzels and applesauce are the snacks along with a cookie they will decorate. We are doing musical chairs with Halloween music and Halloween bingo to round out the four rotating stations. They will also eat snacks while rotating through a photo booth. Party in a post!
186momx, I remember playing soccer in the pouring rain and the occasional snow when I was younger. Our soccer association tries to preserve the fields after the big rains since they don't drain very well. After we hit the midway point of the season, all bets are off and we play rain, shine, snow, sleet, etc. We've missed 2 games this season, but will only be making up one of them.

xctsclrx, would you mind pm'ing me the workout too please? I have been trying to get faster for months, and instead I'm going the opposite way. I'm blaming getting older.
ETA: campermom, I normally am cool with tapers because of my habit of refusing to look ahead in my calendar and being in total mental denial that I'm going to have to do The Big Thing right up until the last moment. However with this upcoming race, I think after next weekend's ride I'm going to loose my mind with nerves since I'm not very fast and...well there's a chance I could miss a cut off if something goes wrong. The advice I've received is to use positive visualizations multiple times each day. That's all I've got...hopefully it helps!
