polecat8 - the VA isn’t looking at all disability. They are looking at only the portion of disability that is related to service. So they may say yes to the ankle but no to the tumors without more proof.
mommyatty, I understand. My mom found this link on the VA website that if you have brain cancer and worked with ionizing radiation (which my dad did), then we don't have to prove a connection. However, the VA is claiming that my dad's tumor was not cancer even though all of his doctors say otherwise. It is just a frustrating process. Also, in the time that it has taken for the VA to figure things out, my dad's ankles have gotten worse, but the VA has not asked for another physical.
Update: I actually went to the gym! Had so much fun at Zumba, I'm definitely going to make it a regular thing. I stuck out like a sore thumb given my height and lack of twerking ability, but it was so fun to just dance and not care!
