Dear Target, If you're going to email me when something is now in stock, please make it available. I've received 5 emails from you in the last 2 days that a necklace for my niece is now available, but it still shows sold out. Signed, Annoyed shopper
Dear agency HQ, If you're going to put out a training email, make sure it's correct. I shouldn't have to try to figure out all the layers this email went through to correct a national issue. Signed, Just a regular employee
Dear Family, Can we get the gift draw done please? I’m almost done shopping and just know I am going to draw someone or DH is that says to surprise them. Or asks for something that’s a PITA (I am looking at you, pretentious person who asked for a Neiman’s GC that could only be purchased in store - if you want a GC you have no business shopping there, status seeker).
Also, please let me enjoy my birthday at home with no guilt this year. We will see you on Christmas Eve and another day that week and that’s enough!
Signed, I buy awesome gifts but need time!
Dear DH, Holy sticker shock Santa, but I’m excited! Our overnight at a Gaylord resort is $850 for two rooms with all of the activities. But it will totally be a two day mini vacation, including us hitting the onsite club for a bit after the kids are asleep, so I am calling it totally worth it.
You better use your crazy Marriott status for every single offered perk - early check in, gift, services. Seriously. Do not slack here, as they are going to arm me with snowballs and I will totally use them.
Having faith DS won’t need surgery - join me in my unusual holiday optimism
If your event is advertised as a way to "get some holiday shopping done while your kids enjoy a great time," maybe don't plan it during work hours?
Signed, Apparently the only person who feels like our PTA is completely out of touch
I totally get this, but as a (full time working) PTO mom, getting people to volunteer is almost impossible. Outside of the 5 of us on the board, we get the same three parents every time we ask for volunteers (and we have 500 students in our school). And if it's the same people doing all the events, then we have to do what works best for our schedules. And most of the moms on the PTO are SAHMs, so daytime it is.
1) Why is it a thousand degrees on this plane when it’s 50 degrees outside? 2) We are supposed to take off in 3 minutes and I don’t see an end to people streaming onto this already incredibly crowded plane. What the actual hell?

I need some advice. SIL and her family sent the kids' Christmas gifts early, because they are Disney gift cards for the kids to use on our trip next week. SIL asked for Build a Bear gift cards for the 3 older kids of hers (and then we'd buy a gift for the 1.5 year old), but $150 feels like a lot to spend on 3 kids, but maybe I'm just being Scroogy? Is it rude to get gift $30 gift cards for the 3 older kids when they gave my 2 kids $50 gift cards (so spent $100 total)? (As a note, I usually spend around $30-$35 on each of my nieces and nephew. Then we also buy gifts for DH's two cousins' kids (6 kids), and I spend $15-$20 on each of them.)
Signed, What would Emily Post say?
I feel like $35 goes far enough atBAB. I think we spent that for a bear and outfit.

Dear ear tubes, Please work for DS2 and please let the surgery scheduled on 12/12 stick. He has Another double ear infection. I think we are up to 5 since the last week of July. Please be the miracle cure advertised. Thanks, A sad toddler mom
sandandsea, For use ear tubes (for both kids) have been pretty amazing. They were each getting monthly ear infections. Once they got the tubes, this largely stopped. Although they still get the occasional infection, particularly when the tube is crusted over. But we have some steroid/ antibiotic drops that we can use, which clears it up. Both kids got them about a year and a half ago. DS just had his redone, because he lost one, with some tubes that are supposed to last three years. DD has lost one, but as her ears are doing alot better we are waiting and seeing if we need to go back in. Just an FYI, both my kids reacted super differently to the anesthesia, so just be ready.
sandandsea, tubes will be a lifesaver! I think ear infections are genetic since all three of our kids have needed tubes. DD3 had them placed last month. The procedure is simple and was done in 15 minutes or less. We were home in under two hours from start to recovery. Be prepared for him to be out of sorts for a good hour after coming off of anesthesia and to be tired the rest of the day.
sandandsea, True expectation. Both of my kids have reacted super differently to the anesthesia. DD has chipper and talking right after, and leaping from the couch as soon as we got home. DS was a miserable puking mess, it took forever for us to get out of the surgery center this time, because he kept puking with only liquids in his stomach. When I finally got him home, he had a sandwich that he wanted and was fine. He was groggy for a few hours, but then fine. This last time though they gave him extra sedation to take his adenoids out too while they did the tubes. And he was fine to go back the next day.

Tubes are the magical cure advertised. For myself and my son. With my son we did have to go back in and replace the tubes because they didn't take well. I am debating on asking the ENT if I can get tubes again because I'm on my second ear infection this month and pain meds are not touching it at all
A few years ago I had a flare up of acute urticaria, cause unknown. Hives from the top of my scalp to the bottoms of my feet. It was awful. Maybe it was stress related? All they could do was give me an antihistamine that wouldn’t knock me out, until it went away on its own.
I hope you can find a good allergist who can help you.
Re TMJ ... I have had this since 2005 and was lucky to find a good specialist who used physical manipulation and taught me some good stretches for it as well. Wearing a splint at night also helped. Pretty sure the root causes can vary. Pretty sure I still have sheets showing stretches, I will see if I can find them tonight
freezorburn- thanks for the support. I am on antihistamines but it’s been 2 weeks and they aren’t really helping. Hopefully the derm can help tomorrow!
I am working with PT, chiro and dentist on TMJ. And I just realized I do have one of my Invisalign retainers around that maybe would help.
waverly - I have had very good luck with Elocon cream for eczema outbreaks. I’ve never had a widespread breakout, but I’ve had severe localized outbreaks almost every winter. 1-2 applications usually clears it up.
