pooh8402 I gained 60 with DS1 and 45 with DS2 and didn't have GD either time (passed the test and had good blood sugar readings throughout pregnancy) so you may not have to worry!
Feeling pretty good right now. I started some light prenatal yoga yesterday to ease back in to getting some exercise so hoping I stick with it. I did some work in the nursery this past weekend, organized some clothes and got the room ready to be painted next week. I picked up a bassinet as well so now the only big items we need are a stroller, car seat and glider.
Questions: any nursing tank recs? I was a size 16/18 pre-pregnancy. I found some on Amazon but not sure of the quality. Also, I am looking at a Britax stroller and car seat this time around. I don’t have experience with Britax products so any thoughts on those?
I am asking for an LL Bean fleece, a new iron and a new blender. Lol, this is my life now. Also an Echo. And my inlaws are giving us cash toward some house painting we have coming up in a couple of weeks.
I took up my OB's offer to come in and hear the heartbeat anytime this morning. It took him half a second to find our little guy's heartbeat this morning. Was so relieved, and cried (again). My OB is officially worried about my anxiety and wants me to come in every Tuesday for the next couple of weeks until I'm feeling confident.
I asked him if he also allows for these visits for the next 18 years.
namasteak, thanks. I know some people just gain more and I might be one of them.
I was planning tagging you anyway. Can you please tell me what you know about belly wrapping during pregnancy? I figure a wrap is cuter than my stupid support belts. My shortest wrap is a short 4, a Lenny Lamb so it's bamboo and cotton, very soft.
1. How far along are you this week? 7w6d. Two weeks until I see the OB...not that I'm counting
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I ordered maternity skinny jeans from ON to wear for my work holiday party on Friday. This gut will definitely not be denied, and my regular jeans don't fit.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? A new synthetic down comforter and a couple duvets. Our current one is ancient.

<3 I plan on belly wrapping again, probably in a few weeks. My base used to be a 5 (and I would use a 4 for back carries) but unfortunately my base is a 6 now so I hope I can still use my 4s.

I'm sorry you are also feeling anxious. I recently upped my lexapro because mine has been through the roof lately. I wish. my OB would let me come hear baby once a week!

1. How far along are you this week? 20+1
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Anatomy scan went well this morning. One kidney was (just barely) slightly dilated and we have to go back in 4 weeks to get a few more pictures of the heart since baby refused to roll over, but neither the doctor nor ultrasound tech saw anything that concerned them.
3. Questions for the group? Not this week.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I want some stackable birthstone rings for DS1 and DS2 but I can't decide which ones I like.

We had this kidney issue too. Or, kidney non-issue, really. I was aware of it but no one ever made me think I should be concerned, and sure enough, the kidney size was back in the normal range at the next ultrasound.

Thank you! Both the Dr. and tech told me not to worry, it would probably go back down next time he peed
3. Questions for the group? My pants are getting pretty tight already in the waist. Is this normal? I just bought a few of those bella band things that will hopefully let me keep wearing my regular pants for another month or so, wasn't quite ready to get into maternity/limited wardrobe quite yet.
By week 13 I was wearing leggings and tunics every day. My regular pants didn't fit but I wasn't ready for maternity ones.
Also, I am looking at a Britax stroller and car seat this time around. I don’t have experience with Britax products so any thoughts on those?
I used the B-safe and B-agile with DS1 and was really happy with them. I'm using a Graco this time simply because my BFF had an extra carseat that she never even opened with her kid, and it snaps into the double stroller she is giving us.

I'm insanely jealous. My work is professional dress so that is an impossibility for me.

I hated my Britax B-Safe 35 with the fire of a 1000 suns, but I may have gotten a lemon. The handle got stuck in the up position after a couple months and took super human strength (that I did not possess) to move to the down position. I also found it really heavy.

Ugh. I am looking at the B Lively/B Safe travel system. It seems to have good reviews.
My first thought was Chicco but I have heard bad things about the canopies on the car seats being a pita. Anyone have experience with this?
I use Chicco Keyfit car seat with a Chicco Liteway Plus stroller. I don't find the canopies to be a total PITA, just a little small. I usually added a carseat canopy or muslin blanket to provide extra coverage on sunny days.
the Britax car seats are HEAVY, I'll say that for sure. I carried many of those when I used to work in the nursery. Their weight was the biggest turnoff for me deciding between Chicco and Britax.
Ultrasound went well and Now I’m just waiting to see my OB. The tech even kept the scanner tool still for about 30 seconds so I could watch baby squirming around 🙂
Susie ,I know I do not go here, but with so many friends pregnant from the boards, I lurk a little. Sorry if that is creepy! (looking at you, scm1011 , cactuscookie and thom !)
suzv, I think a handful is plenty. We were gifted SO MANY CLOTHES and because our babe was so small and did not gain weight for the first month, he was in preemie and NB stuff for the first 6 weeks. He was finally in 0-3 month sleepers around 6 weeks and other than that and onesies (we had a summer baby) there was no need for anything else. I found myself getting him dressed in other stuff JUST to use the clothes, but I wish we did not have them so I would not feel like I needed to use them, lol. Assume 1-2 sleepers per day (spit up and blow outs!) so use that as a guide. I was able to do laundry whenever I needed to but if you rely on a laundromat or something similar you may want more so you don't have to do laundry as frequently.
melmaria I have just a Bob and I love it. I borrowed a Mclarren for some travel and it felt difficult and almost as heavy as my bob. I had the adapter so my carseat could click right into it, and I really do not find it that hard to use. I love it and use it for everything from jogging to walking through the woods to airport travel, etc. It has adjustable handlebars as well, depending on height.
poppyseed Britax is a very popular brand where I live, but we went with Chicco because I got a great deal and I loved it. No issues with any part of it what so ever.
melmaria I had theuppababy vista with DS1 and we used it for DS2. I got for $600 (but that was 2010!). I’ll be getting a single Bob for baby #3, and the tired but still totally functional uppababy will be a backup. Uppababy customer service was also fantastic. We have the uppababy luxe as our umbrella stroller - it’s 7+ years old, travelled overseas to Europe and Asia, I still use it once a week for my 3 year old at the farmers market and it’s great shape for Baby #3. So, basically I love uppababy.
1. 12 weeks - 3rd time mom 2. Anxiously waiting Panorma results. So much nausea but thankful because that means I haven’t miscarried...PGAL makes it hard to enjoy being pregnant or even imagine a live birth. Have NT scan Thursday and Dr said not likely to get panorama results before then. 4. After 20 weeks scan if all is well we will need to get a 3rd row car. I need some maternity clothes (gave all mine away after my last pregnancy). I’d love a weekend away with DH so I’m asking my parents for a weekend of babysitting.
Anyone have any experience with flipping a breech baby?
I'm 34w6d, which is normally still considered early to be too concerned about position, but I have a bicornuate uterus so the clock is ticking as she gets bigger. If she's still breech at my 36 week scan, my doctor wants to start talking about medical inversion options, which H and I are both on the fence about. Anyone successfully flip a breech baby without doing a medical inversion?

Look up spinning babies, and ask your doula. Many doulas are trained in SB techniques. Also, if you have a Webster certified chiropractor near you, I strongly recommend one. This is part of what they do.

The bella band works okay for me. At 20 weeks, I'm starting to wear maternity clothes, but have been in stretchy type stuff for over a month now. These are still a staple for me and look dressy enough for work. www.costco.com/DKNY-Ladies'-Pull-on-Ponte-Pant.product.100342755.html
I'm wearing a bella band today with my suit pants and it's working perfectly! Win! Although walking around work with my pants unbuttoned is definitely an odd feeling.

Thank you! My doctor recommended SB at my last appointment, but I felt like the website was an overwhelming amount of information to try and process on my own. I had a prenatal with my doula yesterday, and she was able to help break down the options a bit more clearly and helped us practice some of the at-home SB exercises. She also recommended an acupuncturist and and massage therapist who have experience/training in that area, but didn't mention a chiropractor. I'll reach out to her today to see if she has any recommendations in that direction, too.
